"Royal blood or not, he's every bit of son to our father, every bit of brother to Garsiv and me, and a true prince of Persia" now that is true brotherhood!
Joe Whitehead agreed.....regardless of their backgrounds, they believe, trusted and and faith in each other and stood side by side through everything...well done.
that's one of the reasons i like this movie is how the brothers treated him as an equal that they didn't treat him bad in some kind of cinderella step brother outcast
once of the many reasons i like this movie that regardless of him being adopted by the king, the kings sons never treated him badly that they treated him just as much an equal as if he was blood
I love this movie, but have to disagree with you. Resident Evil. The first Mortal Kombat. They did not suck. I'd argue the first Lara Croft didn't suck either.
"It is said that some lives are linked across time. Connected by an ancient calling that echoes through the ages." One of the best quotes ever in any movie. How wonderful would it be if it were true?
May be some souls get drawn to one another but i doubt its that strong to last beyond death - more likely you meet some one who reminds you of some one else That would explain the Divorce Rate Keh :D
"I hardly think we know each other well enough for that Princess, but I look forward to the day that we do" God this brings a tear to my eye every. single. time.
The music at the end with the lines that " It is said that some lives are linked across time connected by an ancient calling that echoes through the ages " really gives goosebumps man
Most people think time is like a river that flows swift and sure in one direction, but I have seen the face of time and I can tell you they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm. You may wonder ...
Because they compared to the game. Which was far superior according to those that played it. I kind of, after all this time, want to play the game to see from their perspective. To see why they hate the movie so much. This movie was really good.
@@madpinoy5683 even though the original creator of the game wrote the screenplay for this movie. It seems like they don’t realize or acknowledge that Ann’s just want to hate on it
the reason why this movie got a ton of hate... because the cast was mostly white. I don't get it??? I'm from the Middle East, and I have never met anyone who disliked this movie or found it offensive. As long as the movie is entertaining, nobody cares. hell, I have an Iranian co-worker who loves this movie. yet for some reason, Westerners decided to take it upon themselves to get offended instead of us? and making Jake Gyllenhaal think he made a mistake by accepting the role. it's a Western movie so of course the cast is gonna be full of white people. it logic
@@harsh111yt Cool thanks. I just wish it had all the music, I know some is missing. I wish it was on Spotify and apple music for a more seamless experience .
RezaxPlays She didn't know for certain, but she had a good feeling that Dustan used the knife. Otherwise, he wouldn't be wielding the knife. Plus, he was giving hints throughout their conversation that he had changed as a person. Then, she comments how in such a short time, he has changed. That's when she realizes that he did use the knife.
as nice as it would be to have a second movie to know things afterwards where maybe they have a child or something, he tells her the truth but the bad part is they usually turn out to be a crappy movie and since games turned into movies usually suck and this one doesn't i say we should leave it as is and use our imagination on what happened next
No, because since time had been turned back, none of the future events occured - tus, garsiv, dastan's father and Tamina herself- none of them died and the nizam's treachery was uncovered by Dastan since he now knew beforehand what could happen in the future if the Nizam was not exposed. But, tamina felt an inexplicable attraction towards dastan inspite of not knowing him as they are destined to be soulmates for life as they showed near the end about souls being connected across ages by DESTINY
I'm just a bit upset that Tamina won't remember their adventures together. Makes me wonder whether Tamina will love Dastan the way she would have in the original timeline.
That's up to dastan he knows her well enough and can use this knowledge to his advantage(only that his feelings towards her are true). Making every moment magical between the 2 of them. To her perspective it will appear as if they were meant to be.
@@ma.angelica3771 I was upset about that too. But, he can tell her all about it. And she'll believe him. Plus, I think she already felt a connection with him.
I like this movie a lot. I am so glad that the three brothers are true to each other. I like the ending of the brothers being alive, just the way I hope.
i loved this movie! i dont get why people dislike it. funny moments, beautifull cgi, and nice storyline. my brother normally hates these type of movies with fantasy and stuff, but after i convinced him to watch it with me, he totally loved the movie too!
I watched this with my teenage kids and we really enjoyed it. It created a lot of discussions regarding deception, decision making, destiny, choices and valuing the things that are valuable not only to you but to other people as well. Awesome movie
me too...but i heard disney is casting chinese actress liu yifei as mulan. i have seen some of her films and she is breathtakingly beautiful in that. i think she is going to be a great princess than the princess in this movie..
RezaxPlays its quite complicated.may be yes!! what I think is ,she somehow felt that something changed dastan to rethink about invading her country and you know the rest...
To be honest, I don't mind this movie as much as others do. As an adaptation of the video game, it does get some of the important parts down. Parts like that would include the raid on the city, the relation ship between the Prince and Farah (oh, excuse me, Tamina. I forgot), the grand rewind, Her death, the Vizier as the villain, and a lot of other things. plus also, who can deny those awesome parkour scenes?
RezaxPlays She suspected it after he spoke to her, showing that he wasn't the same person that invaded the city and returned the dagger to her. So I think that she knew deep inside.
From reading history of Persian era, i remembering this movie. And how i love this very scene. The way Prince Dastan breathlessly gazing at Princess Tamina tough, *scream... 😆
Some movies don't need sequels. I feel like this is one of them. I LOVE this movie, but I don't think it really needs a sequel. It's fine as a standalone movie.
While I agree, i don't think they could stay remotely true to the events of the WW. He can't really end up with Kaileena because he's with Tamina already. There's also the lack of Farah completely which makes the Two Thrones much harder to tell. I think the Island of Time would be great as a movie story, though. With Dahaka and the mystical creatures. The story can largely be the same but the ending will have to be altered a lot.
Games usually take years of hard work, planning and a lot of thinking in it's making. This movie for me is a very good adaptation for the idea to put in 2 hours. Very well done to it's makers.
They should have changed his response to her question about time to the original dialogue: “Most people think time is like a river that flows swift and sure in one direction, but I have seen the face of time and I can tell you they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm. You may wonder who I am and why I say this; sit down and I will tell you a tale like none that you have ever heard!” -Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
but despite the fact that she didn't know him as the lion of persia and saw for the first time there was some sign of recognitionon on the face of the princess. she took his hand by the fountain at once as if she knew him and the last words were about souls connected through the time.
Jake Gyllenhal for Aladdin live version please! He has that Persia prince charisma in his moves and his eyes. I never thought he'll be a perfect choice untill I watched this movie again yesterday...
When I was in my teen years, I saw this. From that day - This awesome music,Scene stuck with me. I've listened this music countless times. This Last scene & Raid on Almut when he stood under the Rising Sun. It feels magical. Truly Persian scenario. From deserts of West to Indian influence of East.
Most underrated video game movie adaptation ever, yes it didn't follow everything from the games but the key foundation about the dagger, sands and time were there. It was just a different take. Certainly a lot better than many other older and newer movies based on games.
When we think about it,it would be nice having a movie that follows the game story, but in reality that would be stupid, waste of money. Its good when they change the story a bit,i don't want to see the same shit just not animated, all in all good movie
Such a good movie, i miss this scene. Tamina: This guy saved my town and returned the dagger, he must know the secret. Dastan: I want to tease her. (Talk about destiny) Tamina: Why am I the one who talking shit here? Dastan: That's what we usually do.
I dont know why people hated this movie. I m a big fan of the Prince of persia game series and this film was a very good adaptation of the sands of time series. Maybe it couldve been better but for an adaption, it was definitly a gem. Beautiful ancient style storyline and jake looked very much like the prince of persia character. It definitly deserved a sequel.
the game people get upset because they wanted to movie to be a COPY AND PASTE version of they game's cutscenes, and follow the EXACT plotline of the game, and ANYTHING else is automatically a bad movie, the entire point of a movie adaptation is to capture the ESSENCE of the game's feeling and nuance, which I think they did beautifully, for the record this movie doubled its budget in profit so it made money, it wasn't a flop or anything I have a feeling that the new Assassin's Creed movie coming out will fall into the same problem with everyone expecting it to follow the game story EXACTLY and if it takes even the slightest creative licence then it will be called a bad movie
DilophoMS omfg do u not know prince of persia original saga for ps2?? sands of time, warrior within and two thrones??? and forgotten sands was not a film game but another chapter of saga, only with jake's face and style for prince to promote film!!! it was the worst game...but this film is something of difference, however is cool. my childhood!
Dastan is a humble man, just like royalties should be and its a rare thing in todays society. The only one of royalty who embodies humulity is the King of Bhutan also known King Five.
Dastan is not the only humble man in the royal family. The King of Persia himself is also a humble man. He adopts Dastan from the slums of the capital after noticing the boy possesses certain virtues and qualities that his own sons lacked. Dastan never forgets his commoner roots and has close ties with his men.
+Anthony Pny I think it's sort of Dastan's theme. You can hear the same melody in multiple songs in the soundtrack, but this particular part is not in it :(. It's so beautiful...
