When I played first I didn't know about life upgrades so I killed Kaileena. Then few of my friends discussed about water sword and killing dahaka. I remember I wrote down on piece of paper and drew maps where life upgrades could be (back then I didn't have internet) I found it all myself. I had such a joy of achievement I did alternative Ending and saved Kaileena and Killed dahaka.
Yup I did the same back in my high school days. Back then without internet you could only hear rumours about a possible second ending, and the possibility of there being a water sword (my local gaming group called it the secret 'crocodile sword' since no one had actually discovered it yet) that could kill Dahaka. I was probably the first one in my locality to spend sleepless nights and find all the life upgrades to finally trigger the second ending. I vividly remember the excitement of telling one of my friends on the next day in a tuition batch. It's cringe but I still consider it to be one of the greatest achievements of my childhood days lol.

*TIP* You can track Life Upgrades by using the symbols at the floor of the Hourglass Chamber, so if you're missing an upgrade, you can find out which one if you dont remember. Each of the 9 life upgrades corresponds to a specific symbol on the floor, and will light up (turn white) when its corresponding life upgrade has been obtained on that playthrough. When all 9 symbols have turned white, the Water Sword will spawn there, and picking it up will enable the secret Dahaka ending later. If you want, you can walk around the Water Sword to stick to the main ending, while still having all the life upgrades. Here's what life upgrade each symbol corresponds to. Use Landscape Camera (L2 button and R3 to zoom) inside the Hourglass Chamber. Going clockwise, starting from the symbol at the top, the life upgrades are: 465193287 So the symbol at the top is life upgrade #4 in the video, the symbol to its right is upgrade #6 and so on. So now you can know what you miss. @@abhinavpandey3795 Yes. If you get all 9 life upgrades in one savefile, the Water Sword will spawn in the Hourglass Chamber. You can shimmy around it if you want the main ending, but if you get the sword, you are put on a track for an alternative ending, where you fight Dahaka (as opposed to Kaileena).
@@babbisp1 9 years of playing of playing and I doesn't even know that there is an alternative ending other than the dahaka fight because my friend knew all life upgrade locations and I always took them to get the dahaka ending. Thanks for telling this ending.
@@abhinavpandey3795 "I didnt know there's an alternative ending other than the dahaka fight" I don't think I was clear. The Dahaka fight is the ONLY alternative ending. There are only two endings 1. Main ending where u fight Kaileena without water sword. 2. Secret ending where u fight Dahaka with water swofd. There is no third ending. There is no second alternative ending.

No worries man... I defeated dahaka on normal life bar and that was kinda hard on the easiest level with scorpion sword. But then I found out and collected all upgrades and got the water sword.
@@shivammishra7569 We can fight Dahaka without Water sword but it will not trigger the alternate ending. We get the ending where Kaileena is dead and Prince saying I could not my fate but with water sword we get the ending of Prince and Kaileena sailing towards home and having sex.
Funny thing, my parents are divorced so back in the day i was playing this gem on my pc in my fathers house. Unfortunately i visited him only on weekends every 2 week. So in those times there were only guides like ''stuckgamer'' i guess and luckily that site helped me a lot because aged 10 without proper internet guides to play this game and finish in a good ending was impossible. I only had the internet on my moms house so finally i was writing down every life upgrade ''secret'' location on a paper but it was like deliberate notes on paper to carry them to my dads house and hopefully find the life upgrades. It took me two months to finish the game in a good ending if we consider that i was not playing games 7/24 on visiting days ^^
By the time i fight shadee i already have 2 life upgrades. By the time i fight the empress the first time i already have all nine life upgrades and the water sw0rd. All you need is to learn how to zip and a little patience. Here's how. 1. The first life upgrade available is at top of stairs of the castle. You dont need sl0w time to get it..jump at the button to open door, run at wall of stairs upwards and roll to enter the area. Easy 2/10 2. The 2nd available is before fighting shadee. You need to zip upwards and climb the ledge. Activate button to 0pen door and quickly run at wall and roll to enter door. May attempt several times but slow time is n0t needed. This area is usually the last to be entered filled with difficult traps but very possible to finish early. 7/10 3. The life upgrade behind the area 0f shadee, usually the 1st area entered on tutorials. It is important t0 get this asap as some games have a glitch where you cant get out if this area if you return here later. 3/10 4. Available after getting serpent sword that open bridges at central hall. Go down to find life upgrade. Easy place. D0nt forget to get h0ckey stick on a wall via zipping..its the 2nd strongest sub weapon and is available by this time😊 5. Enter garden first before mech.tower. the 5th life upgrade is at below the fence where you fight the keepers and silhuettes. Easy peasy 6. Ab0ve turnstile at gardenw0rks. Very easy 7. At mech.tower let Thrall throw at wall and enter the life upgrade room 8. #8 & #9 will need you to zip at a door to enter library because you d0nt have a weapon yet to break doors. The 8th life upgrade is at top of bookshelves, enter an opening there 9. if you are talking about breaking the "gate" to the crate that helps u get to the location, you need to proceed the game until you have the scorpion sword or the water sword, which is strong enough to break walls.

Thanks bro. Im here in 2024 and i was playing this game game again,I remember when i was a kid that a cannot defeated dahaka,and today i see that i didn have the chance to do it,cuz a dont get all the upgrades(maybe i could fight dahaka cuz i was with the light blade) Thanks again bro
Guys upgrade #2 is in the fortress entrance when he was on his way to see Kayleena (before she gave him the sword). there's a wall on the left of that place which you'll climb.

#2 can be taken first, actually. You don't need to slow the time for this, you just have to use the wall run when you go upstairs. No big deal, but a bit of extra health before the boss fight wouldn't hurt.
I missed the first life upgrade in the Sacrificial Altar. Is there anyway I could go back to that place? I'm currently in the mechanical tower. Is it too late?
@@ayapapaya2532 In the room where you can pull a lever to go to the two towers, there’s actually a balcony up above. If you move the lever, you can create a rock formation to get up there. It requires you to use columns I believe. You’ll know what I mean when you get there. If you do that, you can get back to Shahdee’s arena (the woman in black). I don’t recall if you can actually get back up onto the arena and to the sacrificial alter, but that is how you get back to that room. Since almost every room and life upgrade in Warrior Within can be reached yet again, I’m very hopeful that you can get back there. Best of luck to you.
how to get back into the are for 4th upgrade after having the mask, i'm sorta lost. there's an area there that need scorpion sword to break anyway but it wasn't pick up until that area was clear off
The life upgrade number two can be collected as the first upgrade as you don't need to slow down time to get it although it is alot easier with slowing down time
i cant get the third life upgrade for some weird reason... its a black room for me n when I enter it prince begins to levitate and die. Please help me out!
I get 5 upgrades till now but can't get the 3rd upgrade I didn't tried to get it when I get the serpent sword now I have lion sword is there any way to get the 3rd upgrade now please reply
It's possible to navigate through traps without slow mo esp the life upgrade traps and btw the 2nd life upgrade location is actually the 1st life upgrade location, u don't need slow mo for this.

guys skip the 4 life location he made there mistake first you should go acrivate water towers and find all life upgrades there then you go clock towers to activate and find there the 4 upgrade with that beast. he first finish clock towers than the water towers which is wrong ...

Can someone help? Ive opened throne room"s doors. Both of them. But now i cant return to the room. Ive watched walkt videos, in centrall hall, They are turning to the left for the room but in my game i cant turn left. I can only turn to right but that side goes to wrong place.
I missed the 3rd life upgrade and now im going to hourglass chamber in past after escaping dahaka, while going there i noticed the switch wasnt present there but that chest thing was.... Will the switch be back when i return after sometime or do i need to replay the game and get the life upgrade? Please help asap!!
When I first played this video, the sped up music sounded a lot like drum n bass music... Like in GTA III and liberty city stories i was surprised i couldn't believe it. Maybe this is how they make drum n bass, all sped up
I turned back to normal from being the Sand Wraith, can you get back to upgrade #5? I don't want to start waaay at the beginning because I ovewrote my saves(which I shouldn't have)
I have a question..in the garden tower when you activate the 1st step and you have to go back and close the door there is a wall that can be disrupted with scorpion swords.. anyone call tell me if there is any life power up?!

I can't get to the ones in the hanging gardens (water tower) or the one in the mechanical tower, and I forgot to get them while I was there now the doors are locked at both places. What do I do?

I am Not sure.. But i guess if we don't go to collect these life upgrades by the correct order, then while approaching it we don't get the blue light. I may be wrong but the first time i had missed the first upgrade so later on in the upgrades the blue light didn't appear. So i started the game all over again... Now the blue light is coming. Someone please explain this.
+prasannaa jeyaselvakumar, when you approach an Upgrade Pedestal, Prince's surroundings glow blue. I'm currently replaying Warrior Within on PC. I'm not collecting the upgrades in order, but I still get the blue light. I hope the bug has been fixed.
The only thing the upgrades are needed for is for the boss fight. If you don't collect all the upgrades you will fight vs the empress and if you did collect all of them you fight the dahaka instead
i did not find all of them myself. the only one i couldnt find was the last one. i read some text faqs of the ps2 version of the game to find out the location of the last life upgrade.
