PRINCE PHANTOM 93P 18X20 REVIEW | Why You Should Try This Racquet ASAP 

What’s your opinion of the Prince brand?

I'm a 5.0 and switched from the Yonex VCore PRO 330g to this racquet. Overall, I just felt I couldn't miss with this racquet. I don't have a problem with the weight or hitting the ball in the center of the strings, so for my game having the most precise racquet has really benefitted me. I also love that every ball I hit does feel like a hot knife through butter. I don't think I'll have arm issues even with full tight poly strings. For me the ratings are : Power 8/10 (good weight in a small package thumps the ball; overall still small head and tight string pattern designed for accuracy) Control 10/10 (The best control I've ever experienced in any racquet ever; yes "LASER BEAMS")Maneuverability 9/10 (small racquet size and beams) Feel 10/10 (The best feeling I've experienced in any racquet ever.. I feel like its a pure extension of my arm and I've never had ANY discomfort) Styling & Cool: 9/10 (who else plays with a 93-inch racquet? ) Overall: 9.5/10 and my racquet of choice! Sure I'd like it to be a little heavier for more power / plow-through, but that's perhaps the only way this racquet could be better. The control and feel are the best I've ever experienced and after having the intoxicating precision on my shots I had with this racquet, I knew I could no longer play with anything else.

Can't rave enough about this racquet. The feel is incredible. I've played it side by side with the Head Prestige Classic wich I used as a junior in the 90's, and the similarity in feel is uncanny, with the 93p being more maneuverable, with a slightly higher launch angle. I've even gone as far as increasing the static weight up to 350 grams strung, and it's still swings effortlessly. Prince (with or without pro endorsements) is back in a major way! Happy to hear you enjoyed it as well.

I currently play with the Phantom 100p. It is really one of the best frames that I have played with over the last number of years and I believe that Prince is really making strides with the Phantom line!

As a certified Hipster myself, I can confirm that I do like the Prince brand. I am a little surprised at that Power score though

I have three of this racquets and have been using since last November. Suggestion for those who want to try it out: string poly (full bed or hybrid with poly in the main) at ~45lbs. I put silicone in the handle and lead tape on 10/2 to increase the plow through.

should also try the prince tour 95. I just made the switch from the yonex vcore 330. added a leather grip to both sticks and the thing is an absolute wand. sweet spot high in the string bed and excellent launch angle for those that drive the ball a bit more.

Nice old school Prince Original Graphite styling. Love the thin beam. I have a Prince 03 Rebel and it is very nice.

The specs are close to what I'm using: the IG Prestige MP. I guess it's a classic given that it's about ten years old. I never used Prince - I used TAD Davis, Bancroft, Head, Wilson, Yamaha, Pro Kennex, Adidas and a few other brands that no longer exist as tennis brands. I guess it's hard to buy the old-school frames these days. Something even more old-school is the Pro Kennex Redondo. I think that the 90 was discontinued but the 95 has even more of the classic feel as it's a lot more flexible.

The Prince Brand was a Nice premium brand that dramatically slide to the gutter. I still have a Couple Prince racquet weapons in my old large 10-12 stick Prince Bag with Wilson stuff. I hope the brand makes a comeback.

I use the 2020 version, it has so much control and feel. The box beam reminds me of the Wilson 90s and Prestige 93s.

Your underated as hell brutha

Been hitting with my prince rebel 95 since 09. Also a heavy racket with weight in the handle like this one. Not sure if theres a reason to switch to a newer racket or when or why i would? 🤷‍♂️. Is there anything modern rackets offer that these older ones dont?

What strings and tension did you use?

How would you compare this racquet to the VCORE Pro 97 (HD) and the VCORE 95? Anyone's got experience using these racquets?

That's a dying brand, was quite popular in the 80s and 90s, I haven't seen anyone in Europe playing with prince rackets nowadays. I never tested any of prince rackets too. How do you compare this racket to Head Prestige Pro? Thanks for the review 👍
