actor, singer, director, dancer, best guitarist, composer, songwriter, sexy, handsome, stunning, owner of the color purple, he is a prince, he is a genius
Legend just a multi talented musician an song writer of all time like previously stated i didn't fully appreciate him till later years and sadly didn't get to see him live
Understanding now just what a musical genius he was...Awesome Singer, easily one of the the top 10 guitarists of all time ,dancer, multi instrumentalist, song writer, just like Mozart and other greats throughout time he is easily up there with them and easily best all rounder of the modern era. I was only 15 back in mid 80's and didn't appreciate him at all but now in 2021 at 51 i'm starting to enjoy all performances on youtube and see just what a talent he really was!!!
Now? Well, I saw Prince live twice…once in the 80s sign o the times tour and once in 1990 with the nude tour…he had solos on Hammond B3, Bass,Guitar and an accompanied Drum solo…. All mindboggling….
Sheila is one of the all-time greats. Her pocket on the kit is bottomless. Listen to her playing on "Dukey Stick" when she was just 20 years old -- she already understood pocket. And she is indeed fire on the timbales. There aren't many drummers/percussionists who can play funk _and_ Latin totally convincingly. Her Dad (Pete Escavedo) is 88 and on his farewell tour now. Let's hope Sheila keeps playing at least till she's 88. 😎
@@user-zq6ro7vx7v Musician speak 😊. When we talk about groove, we often put it in terms of how deep someone's pocket is. The deeper the pocket, the better the groove. So, when I say Sheila's pocket is bottomless, I'm basically saying that her groove is impeccable. Like I mentioned, listen to "Dukey Stick"; it's a masterclass in _true_ funk drumming -- not flashy, just incredibly deep pocket. The groove is pure *fonk.* 😎
Do you know who the other drummer is? I mean, she is damn good, too! and I would deeply fall in love with her if not Sheila E had already taken my heart.@@BassByTheBay
This Dude Right Here. I remember his 1st performance on Soul Train. He was so awkward and shy. He obviously knew he had talent, but was so shy. I'm so glad to have seen him perform multiple times and experience all that was HRH Prince Rogers Nelson. I remember when everybody thought he was weird and me and my friends were so in to him. The talent and confidence was off the chain.
I’m not sure Prince received all of the accolades he deserved. He received plenty of awards, yes, but respect from peers and the music business…..not so sure.
Da ragazzina ascoltavo musica classica, sapevo le opere a memoria e studiavo pianoforte, poi ho sentito lui su MTV e mi sono innamorata perdutamente, ancora conservo i poster che avevo in cameretta.
I will always think this artist IS a genious, since m'y 17 I listen yo jis music, ane never desappointed. The man knew how yo make u dance, make u lough, cry, take control on things, think about matter that touches people, ... The boss in one word
Damn shame he is no longer with us. Love that this is with the Revolution. Such an underrated band. Prince was a supreme artist in every way. An absolute gem of a musician and song writer
His stature was short in my opinion he was one of the greatest all round musicians in the history of music and he left a lot!!!! (I also noticed in other videos that there is no use of mobile phones by the public, if he wanted it, it's a great thing, everyone should do it!!)
Prince definately takes us to church❤Never be another Purple One. . Miss him so very much...EVERYSAY! Purple Rain and The Beautiful Ones always make me cry no matter if I heard them both 1000 times or more. 😥😢 😭💜☔️💜☔️
the bass player and one of the keyboardists were males. Andrew Gouche (I think that is his name) was the bassist and Morris Hayes played with LIsa and Prince of course. The rest of the bad was indeed female.
