Late reply, but kind of. In the first fight where he’s in front of the window, I believe it raises defense by 4-5. You can still deal damage while the star rods power is active since you have ultra boots/hammer and badges. The fight on the floating platform however…it’s infinite defense. You’ll never be able to pierce it without peach beam which makes sense. Kammy Koopa’s magic greatly enhanced bowsers strength

As sensible as the idea is, this channel has thus far been pretty much about glitches and 'exploits' rather than interfering with the coding directly. At most, emulators were used to speed up things or do things in frame-perfect ways that are theoretically possible without hacking or cheat engines. I'm curious to see how far they can push things before something like that becomes the only other alternative... Frankly, I'm genuinely impressed by how much has been found here as is.

Def Up costs like what... 6 BP in PM64? You would only have enough BP (if maxed) to equip 5 and assuming that badges do carry over to Peach, it can't fully block damage from Magikoopa and Bombshell Bills since they do 6 DMG, so a nonexistant animation will still play, crashing the game.

Not exactly "anywhere," as Peach cannot jump, but you could get to Star Haven, Toad Town, Chapter 1, Mt. Rugged, Chapter 3, Chapter 5, and Chapter 6 which would be super cool. I agree, a glitch to bypass those cannons needs to happen, but they're in the worst spot, and we have hardly anything to work with.

+Stryder7x when there's a will, there's a way. I have faith in you and your team/friends. (but I'm not religious so shhhhhhhhhhhhhghh)

Maybe there could be a way to get over them if you time a jump perfectly. Or, maybe a way to glitch around the hitbox, I don't know, there just, probably has to be something.

Why is this that surprising? It is just a thing that a relatively small group of people do for fun. The game is not even that old, is fairly long, and has a lot of weird quirks.

any game with a significant following will have a ton of glitches discovered over time (unless said game loses most of said following or said game is extremely well programmed). all it takes is time and people who want to find glitches.

Problem: Winning a Battle spits you out as Mario rather then Peach, the only way past would be to somehow dodge the fight entirely

Having got back from work, another thought came to mind. If the game interprets Peach as Mario in battle (since she's the one who gets attacked, shares his HP, and is first in the default turn order between her and Twink) is it possible to use Merlee's Spell to buff her? I'm not sure Merlee's spells will affect Twink, since I don't remember if they affect partners in the N64 version, but would it be possible to RNG Manipulate one of Merlee's spells into being activated during a battle as Peach? If the attack buff works on Twink, it could allow kills a little faster. If the defense buffs work on Peach, maybe combined with badges, it would make it that much easier to stop her taking damage, and crashing the game. Can Merlee's spell buffs stack? Anyone have any idea how well all that could work?
