I like this. But how do you do this sustainably? I mean driving there and making the measurements, and driving back then printing then driving back. How was the billing done or was it done for free?

Dan N and Jeff are friends, so he's down there on a periodic basis. We only drove down once - for the video shoot. As for sustainability, the measurements can be taken with calipers and then sent over digitally to the part designer. For more complex parts they could be 3D scanned and the point cloud transmitted digitally. There are several companies that provide this type of service to the automotive enthusiast community now.
