I was just at Graceland and Priscilla and family still go back for Christmas regularly, the staff all spoke incredibly highly of her and how kind she is.

They called Cl. Parker and complained...and threatened to take Elvis to court. Priscilla couldn't choose what she wanted her to wear...how her hair was done...he made her dye it black, like he dyed his black. He went where and when he wanted...But She Couldn't. The only friends she could have, were friends and associates of his. THEN, after she had Lisa Marie...he refused to have sex with her again. But he didn't stop. If he wanted to sleep all day...Or all weekend...she had to too. In a totally dark room. He was AWFUL.

He never got over her, if you listen to the biggest recordings he made after their split until his death, they all told sad stories about love gone wrong or missing someone. Every new recording he made she got one of the first copies. She said they stayed close after the divorce and he would call her sometimes at 3am to talk. She said it was almost like they weren't divorced.Lisa said she didn't know she was from a broken home. That's props to Elvis and Pricilla. They loved each other but Elvis could never be true to 1 woman. Even with Linda Thompson he had girls on the side as well as with Ginger.

Don’t forget toward the end his lifestyle caught up to him. A regular series of taking pills, you can’t do that forever. I saw him in Philly in’76 a year before he died and he was not healthy and it was noticeable, the sweating and he cut his sets short at that time. He never forgot his family or his roots, Gospel music and growing up in church. A generous man but again the drugs caused his mind to not be at rest.

Parker didn't allow Elvis to perform abroad ,because he was an illegal immigrant and didn't have a passport. So he could not control Elvis. It was not because he could not garantee Elvis's security,as Priscilla says., There were appropriate people who could do it. he was only afraid to loose his ownership on Elvis.His fear was that ,meeting new people, new cultures,he might open his eyes abou his way of managing him. if elvis was alive he'd still be living at graceland in Memphis. He'd own either a restaurant or club on Beale Street (in Memphis) and he'd go down there and sing and play guitar and piano with the house band a few times a week. he'd be having a good time.

Lots of people were partying and experimenting with drugs in the 60's and 70's. He wasn't doing heroin or cocaine like many of the rock stars of that era were doing. I think if he could have unloaded the Mafia and the hangers on wanting money, and given Tommy Parker the boot, Priscilla probably would have come back to him and he'd have gotten his health on track. Constant worry and annoyance from those guys, and family wanting money didn't make it easy for him to stay off the pills. It usually takes a complete lifestyle change when somebody is addicted.

As I think about my visit to Graceland the thing that really gets to me is that years ago when Elvis purchased Graceland,,it was more outskirts of Memphis ,country,,,& a nice neighborhood 💙 but when I were there someone said "Elvis's Mansion is in the ghetto " I was like wth,,so I'm a little different,,I don't believe anything,,so I went back to the hotel & I looked it up 4 myself,,sadly the neighborhood is now considered,,a bad side of town,,This saddened me to no end!! Currently as of December 29 2019, Lisa Marie owns only 15 percent of the house and all the money it generates. A guy named Joel Weinshanker owns the mayority of Graceland. When Lisa Marie turned 25 years old she made the mistake of handing over her inheritance management to a guy named Barry Siegel. By the time she sued him, her massive estate was worth only 14,000 dollars. He had sold 85 % of it and she ended up with 15 %. Sad.

Well there is no doubt Greg Page is a good friend to the Presley family as he donated back what was rightfully theirs. He was born in 1972 so he would have been pretty lucky if he had met Elvis as a small child.
Colonel Parker was actually Dutch, and was in the US illegally. He had fabricated his past and said he was from West Virginia. If they had done international tours, he would have had to use his Dutch passport with his Dutch name which would have blown his cover and probably triggered his deportation from the US.
It was in the divorce decree that she take her maiden name back and she agreed but after he died she changed it back to Presley. She even opened a failed business in 1974 or 75 called ? and Beau. Beaulieu being her maiden name. She knew better than to use the Presley name because Elvis was still alive.
Perhaps cause she had a young daughter, and perhaps because she will always love Elvis, she did state they remained friends and had a good relationship after the divorce , and also he divorced her and she stated she never stopped loving him. They divorced because she also stated that Elvis could just not be with one woman.
maybe she didn't want to she doesn't have to change its her name rightfully so elvis gave it to her when he married her , some woman want to get rid , to get rid of the memory at tomes but elvis & prescilla parted as friends and still loved eachother.after they divorced they still loved each other very much they carried on like they were still married lisa never knew never senced anything different to her parents always as they always were to her , not many parents can boast that. well done to them. when they were inside the court room they were holding hands as they left the courtroom they were holding hands The judge conducting over the divorce said "it was like conducting a marriage not a divorce he could see the love between them" and they remained close until Elvis's last day. they spoke often and he confided in her as he always could and always did sad they couldn't make it back together

This was really interesting to watch. I have been to Graceland was exciting to see Elvis home. It's wonderful what all Priscilla has done to maintain it. Thankful to her and Lisa for keeping it for the world to know. Elvis was so special and will always be.
