To be fair, he escaped when he was already outside the prison. Since rural prisons don’t have too many access roads and have low neighboring populations, it’s very likely that people driving on roads near the prison are police officers on their way to work.

Once again I had an assault case threatening on school grounds on recording in front of teachers and when the police showed up they sort of said well you don't really want to press charges. I couldn't believe it! They said I think she learned her lesson she won't do it again right, like she was a child, the whole time grinning and not even admitting what happened in front of everyone actually happened.

I remeber hearing about a few inmates in northern california when I lived up there who escaped from the level 1 or level 2 yard. They eventually ran into a couple hunters in a truck. Who were also correctional officers. At gun point they were put into the back of the truck an taken to the sheriff's office. Not sure if its 100% true but it was in a town I lived in with 3 prisons called susanville. And that story circulated more than a few times by many CO's.

I know this sounds stupid and unrealistic but as far as I’ve been told, it’s not, I know someone who broke into the Tower of London. One of my grandads friends is a World War Two veteran and the Tower of London was being used as a barracks for his regiment. He and a few friends went drinking in the night which they weren’t allowed to do, they all had to shimmy up a water pipe on the outside of the tower to get back in.
