Hell yea, JMG! That is growth brother, then turning around and handing that experience to the youngsters, that's leadership. Thank you for the continuous support!
For anybody that is wondering..i am fully aware that im not truly hiding my identity. Cant soeak on it too much but i am within policy to do this. I appreciate the concern.
@@LouiseAngelWings no problem I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I didn't even realize we went over an hour. I thought maybe we did like a half an hour but time flies when you're having fun
This was an awesome interview. And I appreciate how he is talking about the Juvenile system. He is spot on. I currently work in juvenile and it’s completely different from adult. Awesome interview
This channel's going up keep doing your thing Hector I see you! Congratulations to you CO for giving an interview it's nice to see someone with a spine! Respect 🙌 😮
Aye aye I'm super late but this Interview was dope AF!! Thank you as well THE MASKED LAW STUDENT for speaking for those who just can't say much. RESPECT IT. LT. once again another DIME dropper. You already know as always my upmost respects. Keep Grinding!
Man this is a good one. I'm sad that he is worn out hope he is safe and able to deal with his pstsd. I've got that and it's a cloud over me. Good luck and thank you Hector'
Good stuff. I appreciate there’s no censorship. It’s not like you’re abusing it either. It’s nice to hear adult conversations and not having to be treated like a child due to big corporations rules. Interesting interview.
The sad part is medical information is in their file, cdc says we can’t tell anyone that should after being exposed. My husband had got stuck by a tattoo and he had to ask to leave work to get information and get tested. 6 months he had to take the cocktail and it made him violently sick. He found out that the inmate had potentially a disease that he could have passed on to me and our grandkids. 6 months we slept in different rooms he used a certain plate, bowl, glass, coffee cup and silverware. He washed his own dishes separately and clothing as well. Im glad he was trying to protect us. It was really hard on us because I watched take his meds and within the hour he lost everything in his system. Six long months later we finally found him to not have it. He never gained his weight back and we found out he had damaged to his kidney’s and liver years later, and he passed away at age 55.
@theprisonguard I promise that you and my husband were always in the boat. He was not a yes man! He interviewed and was offered a LT position and Corcoran offered him a limited position with the intent to roll him to permanent LT. I could tell you that he was an excellent team player even when he finally promoted to Sgt. He never changed not ever from taking care of everyone on the facility guards and inmates. He was so well thought of that after he passed the yard chipped in and had a big Folger Adam key out of wood. It is really nice it has his badge number and start and end of watch on it. The people at Corcoran from the officers to free staff all donated a very very large amount of hours to be cashed out. His funeral was huge, standing in the rear and out in the foyer. Anyway someday I would love to talk to you about the similarities you and the husband shared.
Great interview Hector! Especially towards the end. I know how he feels being ostracized and being a cast out at work for speaking your mind. I tried to rally the troops where I work only to receive black last from the Mean Girl’s Club!!! Now I just show up to work and just try to do my job in a safe and timely manner. Your videos and interviews have helped me navigate through work! One of my favorite quotes from you “is this policy and procedure or a directive”. Thank you Sir 🫡
Thank you for sharing that! Glad I could be of help, it is wild out there. As long as you follow policy and document everything, you "should" be alright. That's why it's important to document.
This was a great interview and very educational insight into the corrections department. I relate to the PTSD and trying to do the right thing while keeping your job and working in the bureaucracy. I had to tread the water until I retired from the military. Prison staff sounds a lot like what they military did and how they move. Especially in the higher up ranks.
You're absolutely correct, Donald. The reality is that poor leadership is EVERYWHERE, what I could no longer stomach, especially being in a supervisor role was the danger administration they were putting us in as a result of selfish agendas.
I hear you, Darrell! I think as staff we put up a front to protect ourselves, but in doing so it caused a misconception of who is really to blame for prisons being out of control and that is upper management and administrators fault for sure.
For the Law student you can transfer into any state job. I had a friend Transfer to the Unemployment as an investigator. Still kept her Peace officer status!
Fun fact, cold water is soothing to the skin in the moment, but hot water open your skin, pores and help flush out the oil base chemical jalapeño sauce the c.o’s use shout outs to Hector. Love your show.
I absolutely do, Kevin. This is what they all tell me "Thank you for being our voice". Trust me, if you're still employed and you speak out like I do, they will shitcan you with a quicken. They don't like the world to know the truth about how corrupt they are at the top.
I remember on Saturday & Sundays if they didn’t get their drops from visiting the alarms would be going off! You would see dudes with holes in their back in the infirmary!
Hector, sometimes a would work swaps on second watch on the weekends. The smell of those prison pancakes was repulsive to me, I still can’t eat them! Prison has certain smells that we are familiar!
I teach and train my cops to always ask the inmates about weapons and sharp objects. The DA’s like that when cops have that In reports because it shows the inmate deliberately Lied. Always take it slow when searching. At the academy they show you how to pay down then at CCI we learned how to take control of the inmate to search and pay down. Level 4 GP now level 4 sny. I hate when new cats would show up and do TSA pat downs.
Yes P.T.S.B is for real I have never seen a D.r over this but I was a fugitive recovery agent been shot at a few times and ran over twice ya I think I may have this P.T.S.B.
It takes at least 6 bib bad mofuka to hold me down and i pose will. But im not bragging I learned im a bigger target and gonna be touched sleeping so i be good and surprised gangsters by my conduct it saved me
The mask might not be to hide from his employer; it could be so the average jagov on the internet doesn't dox him. Surely they would have used better opsec had he wanted to be anonymous to CDCR.
I would imagine the greatest lesson learned would be the "trust" factor. who or why you cannot fully trust anyone and put all your trust in God. Lame as it may sound, it is the ONLY truth.
Again how your guest goes into the racial aspect of corrections. I called so many Brothas out for being racist and they openly admitted it to me. They were higher rank than I was but what’s funny is after having so many RVR’s my cops wrote and I critique them it was a slam dunk guilty and my partners would straight up tell me the inmates openly admitted wrong doing and they would dismiss and openly find them not guilty. They would try write in the comments that the officer did something wrong. I’ve had inmates request the Lt’s by name to hear the RVR. They would even tell me oh I’ll get off on that. We even named the Lt C****Dismissed. He is a captain now at the most racist and openly racist facility of LAC towards all races other than Brotha and Sista. So it’s fitting that the LT’s transferred there of all the facilities. Don’t get me started on how I called out management for being liars. This was at table meetings with all to hear. I would still go back if I could I love a good fight and doing my job to keep my people safe and protected.
Speaking of superhuman strength on drugs. I used to work with a guy who was probably 130 pounds at most, and I saw him drag a 500 pound drum very like it was nothing. He was a meth user. Have you ever had an encounter with a meth user?
@@thatprisonguard just watched that video. I sympathize with law enforcement and correctional officers. Protecting society and you get sued for protecting your own life when a criminal gets violent. Then media tries to cook up a story about how you’re abusive and a monster? Unbelievable. Curious how much the meth addict was trying to sue for? Great videos.
It's hilarious how the department makes excuses for ADA inmates like they're angels. God forbid if you use force. Definitely an investigation. You're about to be attacked by the rat pack. First-hand experience. It was a joke when the two clowns from the rancho office rat pack tried to spin the situation.
