You can clear codes with the pin method/paperclip as well. You can also do the re-learn process for the linear selenoid offset with the pin method as well. Only problem with doing that is the computer throws codes pretty fast, so you have to be quick about it. Can also place into diagnostic mode using the pin method as well.
Thanks. I’ve been trying to get my rear to bleed for a year on Highlander HV and been driving around with lights on not knowing what was wrong. I bought a vacuum bleeder and tried that. Hopefully I didn’t cause other damage not sure if this will work now or If I need to buy the scan tool.
@@Mrelectric423 I used your method to bleed brake fluid from my 2010 Prius yesterday. It was so easy and quick, much better than all the other methods I used before. Thank you so much!
Help... I did a rear brake job 2008 prius..The wheel cylinder was replaced. Now when I depress the brake pedal the actuator runs for 2 seconds and stops..Any clue as to why I can't get brake fluid flowing?..thanks
@Mrelectric423 I did clear the codes with a paperclip .. codes are no longer showing..But actuator runs for 2 seconds and stops.. Cars brakes were fine but rear were almost metal to metal... When I put the shoe back onto the brake cylinder it shot out brake fluid... So I changed the cylinder only to have the abs warning light appear.
@@mikekendall5835 did you try brake bleed procedure as shown in this video and 2 others with brake bleed in title. It will not let you bleed with codes present so you may need to clear codes a few time. There is a more in depth bleed procedure using the scantool that may be needed if nothing else works.
