Very brilliant race finish and its extra special to see a filly beating the boys.Torquator Tasso was much the very best on this ground,but was unlucky going by so much horses with this bad trip.Alpinista is a world champion horse and tough ride by Luke Morris for a training master Sir Mark Prescott.

The state of the going is going to be a huge factor in the outcome of this year's Arc. Horses who will relish the underfoot conditions, likely to be very soft or heavy, have a distinct advantage over those who have not shown their best form in the prevailing conditions. The Japanese contender, Titleholder, has never encountered ground worse than good, so there must be a worry as to how well he will cope with the conditions. If he can adapt to the going , then he must have a big chance on the form he has shown this season, but it's a big if. Personally, I would be looking for a horse who has shown he/she can handle the going, and Torquator Tasso,, Luxembourg, Alpinista and Vadeni certainly fall into that category. My preference would be for the Prix de Jockey Club and Eclipse Stakes winner, Vadeni.
