I have made this recipe years ago. I followed the direction to let it cool in the pan. No trouble, no cracking, all turned out tasty.

I love pineapple desserts. I would do the galette because jelly roll cakes are too fussy but, if I made one the pineapple would not be cooked with the cake. I love that you are doing this comparison. I actually have an original Better Homes and Gardens cook book that I inherited from my Dad. The recipes always seemed too difficult and old to try. Thanks for doing this segment. I can’t wait to see what you’ll do next!
