PRO DANCER REACTS TO ATEEZ - 으르렁 (Growl) Performance + (에이티즈) - 2022 MBC 가요대제전 '말하자면' Performance 

If I'm not mistaken, everything after the first chorus was created by them. Also did you know that one of the members (Wooyoung) created part of their Pirate King choreo? In my opinion, they do the best covers because they make it their own! 😊❤️ Thanks for the Ateez vids!

For the Growl cover, everything after the first chorus was created by the members. The beginning is the original EXO choreo.

2:52 Yep, that is BBTrippin (they have their own channel if you want to check them out) and if I’m not mistaken they pretty much do all of Ateez’s choreo now.

This is about 4 years apart, so it's worth noting that the man getting down at center 10:44 is our Song Mingi, the one in the gray track suit in the the first video. He, Yunho (the get-down center, who -- as the tallest member -- had a long way to go to get down!), Captain Hong Joon (the black suit in the first video) and Wooyoung choreographed the second half of Growl in 24 hours on a challenge that was given to them pre-debut. They had to learn the first half of the choreo, then design the second half. And with such an iconic dance, to re-fashion the choreo is a HUGE accomplishment. They really killed this one. But what a difference 4 years makes, right!?

First one, Mingi wears a white beanie, and he's taller than Hongjoong, for Growl they made the first part copying the original and they had to create an original second part of the choreo in 24 hours

The first dance practice are the two main rappers of Ateez The taller one is the deep voice rapper Mingi and the other is Hongjoong the Captain and leader of Ateez....

Speaking of exo's cover of growl by ateez. The first half is original exo's chorography the second half of the cover was choreographed by ateez members mingi& yuhno and the positions of members was decided by seonghwa.

If this is Ateez week on your channel, I am not mad about it at allllllll. The Growl cover is incredible when you realize it was done pre-debut...but it's right on par with the other KQ Fellaz cover dances they did as trainees - the ones that went viral and caught them attention before they were even named "Ateez". It just goes to show that Ateez have been big contenders in the kpop game even before debut. KQ has themselves some really talented guys here, and I am really happy to see how they've been growing.

coolest part of the 2nd video is the fact that this was ATEEZ before they’d even debuted. as part of a reality series they had a challenge to cover this song and create choreo for the 2nd verse + chorus all within 24hrs. obviously they aced it. 😌

That man is grey who did bboying is Mingi. He’s the main rapper and main dancer of the group. He also participated in writing most Ateez songs. The other one is the captain (leader) HongJoong who is also the main rapper and write/compose most Ateez songs. They are both very charismatic and talented.

The fun thing about BBTs channel is that you can watch the original choreo as it was presented to ATEEZ and then go to ATEEZ channel and watch their version to see how they changed it. For example, in the original version of Halazia, the performer doing Yeosang's part danced it swaggy, but Yeosang interpreted it in a way that read fierce.

Love watching your enthusiastic reactions and appreciation for these boys! Can you believe the Growl cover was them pure-debut and they had like what, 24 hours if I remember correctly to put together this choreo . They incorporated some of the original choreo in this "mission" (which is what KQ Ent do with their trainees) as a tribute to the OG's as they are very respectful towards other artists. They rock! Laughed at 10:55 when you said "I know that this is all in the original version". I know that you watch a lot of things so you probably forgot about the original choreo, but they did the original choreo all the way up to the end of the first chorus and then had to create their own choreo for a challenge they were recording.

BBTrippin is the in-house choreo/bg dancers team. They usually work with the members to create interesting choreos, they also stand in if a member is out sick or injured. San's stand in looks & moves just like him. BB Trippin has their own RU-vid channel btw.

Since you asked -- Mingi and Hongjoong's cover is of the song 'As I Told You' by Kim Sung-jae, released in 1995. Kim Sung-jae was a member of Deux, a popular and influential k-pop/hip hop duo in the early 90s. Sadly, Kim Sung-jae died the night of/morning after the release of 'As I Told You.' I'd recommend checking out the original music video or music show performance. Either way, it remains inconic and is one of a handful of songs that's covered at almost every end-of-year festival, it feels like.

I've been Atiny for over 3 years now and you can see even when they were first debuting they had stage presence FOR DAYS- ATEEZ were destined to be the KINGS of KPOP! Strap in you are going to enjoy this ride! Can't wait to see more reactions😀

Ateez are well known as one of the best (if not the best) performers in k-pop. Mingi (grey sweats) is the main rapper and one of the 3 main dancers of Ateez. Hongjoong is the captain (leader) and lead rapper and an incredible performer (he's a part of the demon line [yes that's a thing] of ateez due to his incredible stage presence and expressions). I think Ateez and BBTs chemistry while dancing really shows off the great relationship they have with each other. Never seen anything like it before. Their fun relationship is seen when they're touring and performing all their stages in concert. For the exo cover, it was shot as a part of their predebut reality series where they had to learn the choreo for the 1st verse and create their own for the 2nd verse ALL IN 24HRS. Sorry that was super long lol

Okay, I started watching your channel a while back because of Astro, and now you're just getting more and more into ATEEZ, making you a fan of my two favorite groups! It's been a while since I watched any reaction videos, but when I saw that you were doing ATEEZ, you managed to pull me back in! Though ATEEZ doesn't have hard and fast positions anymore, at least not officially, the two members you pointed out most prominently were actually two of the three main dancers of the original dance line for the group (the third being Wooyoung)! I know lots of people let you know that Mingi was doing the breaking in the first video, but the member that went low for Growl is Yunho, who is the member that the group still names when they're asked who their best dancer is (As a Note: From what I understand, this is due to him having the best technical skill and precision, and how often it is that he picks up and masters their routines almost immediately, at which point he moves on to helping the rest of them learn it. They refer to him as their choreography member, and go to him when they're having difficulties with their dances. He isn't often named or pointed out as their best overall *performer* by fans, as their most stand-out personalities on stage-the "demon line" of San/Hongjoong/Seonghwa-have absolutely insane visual magnetism, but I can pretty honestly say that's because the entire group are so phenomenal and theatrical that the bar is unreasonably high. Seriously, they're all incredible performers.) Fun facts about Mingi and Yunho relating to this video also: Those two were the two that, in the 24 hour time limit they were given, choreographed that second verse of Growl and taught it to the others, and are also the two tallest members of the group, with Mingi at 6'0" tall and Yunho at 6'1"! In addition, ATEEZ has two pairs of friends that were friends before they joined KQ to train to become idols, and Mingi and Yunho were one such pair. They attended the same arts high school, and both auditioned to KQ on the same day. The both wished each other luck on their auditions, not realizing they were auditioning for the same company, and it was a huge surprise to them both when they both found out. Obviously, they were both accepted, though Yunho started training a little before Mingi was able to do so, and both made it into ATEEZ. It's one of the many, *many* coincidences that ATEEZ talks about that led to the group feeling like them ending up making music and performing together was fate. And it is why they chose ATINY (Ateez + desTINY, pronounced AY-tee-nee) as one of the only 5 options they offered to fans when they let us vote for the official fanclub name.
