Just had mine delivered today, so far so good I think, it's a replacement from one of the older models I've had for about 6 years. Liking the magnetic top, though it took a while to realise it didn't unscrew! I was jut wondering what that small clear plastic piece is for, I can see you have one too?
thank for the review. pretty good. Just wondering how well the record will stay straight when you use the brush to agitate the fluid and loosen dust and all those particles from the grooves? I'm concern that the record would to have enough strength for downforce of the brush and end up being bent a lot.
no need to worry, you don't need to apply much force if any.. I have cleaned almost 200 records with it and it never came even close to causing issues, most LPs bend about 1mm when I used the brush with force. It takes time to learn how to do it properly but essentially it is the fluid that penetrates into the grooves on its own, the brush does spread the fluid evenly, that is the only job it needs to do.
I hope it lasts. I had a VC-E and it did a nice job cleaning but it died a few weeks after the warranty ran out. Some research indicated it was a common occurrence.
Received mine a few weeks ago, very happy with it. It's my 1st record cleaner so I cannot make any comparisons. My Vinyl sounds better. Question, what is the transparent plastic/perspex thing that you pulled out of the box after the brush at 24 secs? I cannot find any mention of it in the user manual
Great stuff! TBH I haven't found any mentions either, my understanding is that it is supposed to go in the vacuum head from underneath to block dust going in it when being stored. I couldn't fit it in the head for some reason and I don't bother with it, I just use some cloth to cover the machine when not in use.
I have used it a lot since and have never needed to empty it. It pretty much dries up in a day if you don't clean 100 records every day. The most I cleaned in a sitting was 20 records.
@@takeiteasy6154 indeed that's why I also went for this machine and a normal budget vevor ultrasonic cleaning bath with rotation motor attached for 4 vinyls. So ist the pro-ject for pre-clean and than a wash in the ultrasonic for perfection and both in sum cost still less than one okki nokki
