In the past week, new laws have passed in several U.S states which makes it illegal for women to get an abortion, with doctor’s who’ve carried out the procedure receiving at least ten years in prison. Alabama is most restrictive of the states to pass this law and Becky Garritson speaks from Birmingham, Alabama as she believes that abortions should be illegal in all states across America. Founder of Abortion Support Nation Mara Clarke also speaks to GMB about the issues of abortions that are still prevalent in the UK.

Fortunately, the re-criminalisation of abortion in Canada through legislative and/or judicial means will never see the light of day. Evidently, abortion has long remained a 'proverbial' third-rail of Canadian politics.

Where are all the comments? This interview was so biased. The male reporter cut off the first person he was interviewing. The male reporter needs to see the value of human life. If someone is a person in the womb and half of them are female. Those females and males don't deserve to die in the womb. If someone takes a life the just and fair punishment is that they lose their own life. Punishment should fit the crime and be proportionate. If you steal you pay back what you stole. If you take a persons life you deserve to lose your own life or at least be put away for a long time.

Massively biased. They didn't engage with her in good faith at all, constant interruption, straw manning. And then the woman who agrees with them comes on and suddenly they've learned how to talk to people politely.

An unborn female child has no choice, or life or right if you choose to kill it. A 13 year who gets raped could keep the child or give it to the state to care for. Why should the baby die for the man's crime? We should seek to save lives as far as possible, but punishment should fit the crime. The rapist deserves the punishment not the child. Society should step in with grace. We all sin. Punish the rapist in prison, let the state take the child, help the girl to save a life not take it.

You can personally do whatever you want. Your body, your choice. The very fact that you condone forcing a little girl to carry a pregnancy to term is enough to disqualify you from this conversation. The bottom line is that women have every single right to refuse the use of their organs to another entity, even if it means that the entity will not survive. Simple as that
