What is the difference? Worth the money? Here is the Traxxas Ultrashocks and the upgraded Traxxas GTR Shocks for the Traxxas Rustler 4x4 VXL and Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL (and Hoss 4x4 VXL and others).

The price range seen at the release of this video is around 30-50$ for a set of GTR shocks (front or rear) and 5-10$ for a set of GTR springs (front or rear). I myself paid 730 DKK + shipping in Denmark, which is just above 100$ or just below 100€, in total for all 4 shocks and springs.
Worth it? Any experience with them? Let's hear your opinion in the comment.
The GRTR shocks are adjustable and will hold up to 70 procent more oil and comes with a hard-anodized PFTE-coated aluminum shock body and TiN (titanium-nitrad) coated shafts (compared to the standard stock ultrashocks). I believe the shock oil supplied with the GTR shocks is 30 WT.
Compared to the Ultrashocks, the GTR shocks should, in theory, provide a more stable and smooth dampening and should be better to prevent any oil leakage. The aluminum body also comes pre-threaded for easy spring tension and ride height adjustments. Another benefit is that the aluminum shock body has proven more durable and should prevent the shock cap for coming lose (popping off) too easily. In addition the bottom holder/bowl for the spring is secured with a screw on the GTR shocks.
Personally I decided to upgrade due to several of my ultrashocks leaking, caps popping off and shafts bending.
I haven seen them specified for the Traxxas Rustler 4x4 VXL, the Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL and the Traxxas Hoss 4x4 VXL. But I am sure they will fit others too. A wide range of optional springs and oil are available for tuning. Any recommendations for set-ups and which other models they will fit? Hope you will share it in the comment section.
