That would actually ruin some cars lives because most of the cars hit 2 to 3 gears only (for less clutch response time). The professional drag racers have their gear tunes to lowest gear closest to the finish line of the street which is 1/4 mile aka quarter mile. So if they made a 2 mile strip then they would hit rev limiter not even 1/8 of the track and possibly ruin their engines.
