Your instagram tutorial on the RDL was gold man, my hamstrings have never been this sore before from hinging. I was doing them the way RP guys taught for a long time, and I never realised how much of my spinal erectors I was using before! Thank you!

Still out here doing legs in a single session! Don't have capacity to switch back so making it work. Credit to you for the decision and as ever grateful for your updates.

3:12 yup, for some reason hamstrings are so hard to recover for me too. After working them I swear they are sore for 3-4 days at least. 😅😅

In my case not so much the soreness but they just don’t want to contract with any force 😅

I started skipping leg press and just substituting it with squats. Worked out much better in terms of strength and stamina. Leg press in my gym isn’t as fancy as the one you used in the video.

i have the same experience on the RDL. I can tolerate 2 hard sets a workout only. the 3rd one is doable of course but the set quality is less and harder to recover and progress. People, we all have different leverages and tolerance for different exercises. Auto-regulation is key gor long term gainz

Sometimes the strongest thing is knowing when not to prep.

Only thing harder would have been to actually prep and suck at both prep and irl stuff

Very nice, Alberto. God I wish I could do RDL's, but have a chronic low-back issue I've been struggling with for over a decade. Beyond leg curls, I have no clue what to do for my hamstrings. I'm too fat for nordic curls. Hypertextensions cause the same pain as RDLs.

Might be worth hiring an in person professional to work on hinging with you

Hey Berto! Do you ever do conventional deadlift ? If not when did you stop? Hard for me to let go of this but I think the fatigue is impacting by other lifts . How many sets on average are you doing per body part per week? I think you made the right call and not competing, for whatever that is worth from a stranger lol. As a dad of two everything within the first six months to a year or more is very difficult adjusting, and balancing relationships and schedules. Majority of the time is just survival mode lol Thanks!

I don’t for the same reasons as you Juice isn’t worth the squeeze I average 6-10 sets pbp Thank you🙏

Is there a reason youre not touching your body with your legs on leg press? Wouldnt that stretch glutes/quads more?

I might have a little more hip flexion left but I'd probably get some rebound from the sink. Kind of how powerlifters sink on a bench.

For such heavy moves on hammies do they actually grow like a quad or do they more so get stronger versus grow. I know to train them opposite or with quads is to make them better overall but wondering with such big weight does it add to the bodybuilding realm of growth. I say that because hammies are sensitive to injury and like chest folks who bench heavy don't tend to have a bigger chest than say x,y,z persons. Im thinking risk/reward in my question.

You take all this risks as a natural i.e. potentially ruining your joints for a sub par physique..all that time investment and risks for whatever.
