meterless flips have no invuln and brian intentionally did an AA fireball to catch that kind of option. it would have gone over the normal fireball from oro at that timing.

I know it's three month later, but JUST IN CASE you still don't know, here's gist of it: To perform this loop (1:08), you need to cancel a standing medium kick into a fireball. This is extremely hard (could've been considered impossible years ago) because you need to charge Oro's fireball by holding back, but standing medium kick must be done with the stick in a neutral position, because if you're holding back, another move comes out. There's obviously not enough time to charge the fireball between inputting the kick, and the kick hitting. So how does he do it? He's actually holding back this whole time, but when he needs to input the standing medium kick, he actually hold back-up for a moment. Back-up normally means that he would jump back, but he **cancels the jump** with the kick. And because of some quirk of the engine, cancelling a jump while holding back actually makes the standing medium kick comes out, not the other move. So this allows him to cancel the kick into the fireball, because this trick makes him keep the charge. If you have meter or three Tengu stones, you can actually loop that for a long time, it's a very high damaging combo. But this jump cancel is hard to do.
