Litigation is difficult enough, even for trained attorneys. Many pro se litigants don't know that their status as pro se does not exempt them from the litigation rules and the court's expectations. Pro Se is his/her own attorney and will be held to the same standard as a licensed attorney. This video highlights the challenges of litigating as pro se and how pro se can prepare himself/herself before filing a lawsuit.

I completely understand your opinion on getting lawyerd up.. im am in the middle of representing myself in a 1983 federal lawsuit and one in the Supreme Court.. i had to learn how to read the law, file motions, cite cases, shepherdize, Find president cases, ect. The reason i disagree that all ppl should lawyer up is because i had to fight the judge, Prosecutor, Stentographer, Core clerk, and my own lawyer, to not be railroaded into a plea agreement. It took me 3 years to find out that certain facts and Discovery was being concealed. So i say to all "learn as much as possible" ❤

Thank you. Well-received. In the process, I’ve been reminded all over again that EVIL exists in human form… and those that are charged with upholding THE LAW will disregard the law, just to spite the pro Se. It HAS been the most difficult process to endure. But, for a leveling perspective to it all, I remind myself that 99.9% of the judges and my opponents CAN'T even do 10 push-ups. :)

Absolutely, amazing grace coming from this individual! Thank you for genuine and authentic empathy. Intent is pure and I know my creator put me on this page. I have been successful in proceedings with these fiduciary officers. They oppose me hard right now in a traveling "offense". They pulled gun on me and my wife and 4 children. I reserved my rights by code right away so that's solid it's on film. But they still offered me something after judge said that there were civil charges atarched????😅 I can't believe they tried moving forward. No status I never understand and I have reserved my rights from the get go

Stand firm in your square and never argue or become hostile even in the event of outstanding over stepped boundaries. They may arrest you. People make mistakes and ignorance of the law is no excuse but these judges going to catch theirs later just remember that. You can use.all the fraud against them but cannot be silenced.

This is absolutely correct, I have experienced it with the opposing counsel lawyers very smart, but I stuck to my gun. The best thing is that I got a judge who does not have prejudice against pro sea which is common among many judges who look down upon pro sea litigants. The Judge reasoned from the point of law and I won the first round. And now the Opposition party Attorney wants as to negotiate for only 1000 settlement and I refused.

Being prepared to go all the way is such a true statement. It’s eye opening how much the system is against pro se representatives. Even when you do everything right, be prepared for an adverse decision. Great points here.

It would be great if one can get an attorney. For most, it's not attainable. I know of pro se litigants who have done well and prevailed in their case. Some on this channel. So, it's doable. Best.

This is great advice, but I wish more resources and information about how to counter the judiciary's bias against pro se because proof of bias (i.e. a private phone call to a judge) is not available and even the appellate courts are biased towards pro se. Next, even if you find some kind of bias, judicial immunity protects the judges. Also, the supreme courts (state and the US/federal) don't hear every case.

Unfortunately, it's true that some judges have bias against pro se litigants. Not all, though. The best counter is that pro se litigants prepare themselves before filing the lawsuit. File a complaint that meets all the requirements, to defeat a motion to dismiss. During the litigation, file the necessary motion(s) to challenge bias activity of a judge or the opposing counsel. Judicial immunity is not absolute. Be ready to appeal, all the way to the United States Supreme Court.
