It's awesome to see the big dogs back in town at my local track. The guy's at BMP have done a great job dialing that track. I will be out there Thursday
The most important part is the 1st 1/8 and less wear and tear for now. Its gives some numbers but not a full 1/4 run yet like the other testing before Qualifying
People are learning florida is where its at, remember testing us to be arizona, speciality events far away. SCAG thank you for your massive foot print you put on NHRA. You can always race down here.
Testing was in AZ because the first race had always been in Pomona. Now last year they changed to having the first race in Fla, not there because " florida is where its at ". The schedule change saves the teams about $30K and 6K miles of driving...
Yeah understand the rearranging of the events, better for the teams, the cost of going one way then back all the way across, whatever it takes keep racing close to us and many other small events it may bring.
It looks like that track prep is right on. Seems like the crew chiefs can use what they can put into them. Give us some good racing and data for the teams before the season starts
They did try a hemi about 20 years ago. It couldn't compete with the GM DRCE. But maybe Ford and Chrysler should try again. Pro stock is impressive in person. Not so much on TV.
