I feel as if he’ll have a place on Pearl when that inevitably makes its return to the map pool, lot of long hallways/environment i feel his kit will excel better in.

the players just used the shield incorrectly in the examples shown. i think it can still be played on haven and icebox. the biggest issue imo is a team needs 2 entry fraggers to play iso which many don't have

currently, attacking side iso is viable enough because u can always wait and look for weakness in the map and force 1v1 with shield. In defense side, iso's utils are so high risk but low reward for first contact and site retake in which a duelist should atleast be viable in defense. The shield should stay as it is, but the wall needs rework.

I think the problem is more like teams uses Iso as single duelist. Whilst Fnatic imo got the best setup for Iso. They run on double duelist this ensure the most effective play for them as they can no longer play the time game as they used to do last year. With fnatic having this double duelist setup. It forces them to play aggressive. Alfajer can comfortably do what he is suppose to do with his mechanics. And that is to hunt for kills. Whilst still have Derke as their primary duelist. With hiro coming in, this also ensure fnatic flexibility in terms of other types of playstyle if Alfajer dies. I think this is the reason to why Fnatic looks very dominant with iso setup but other teams not.

You haven't even shown the best examples of ISO countering the OP especially the Haven games. The game is at the stage where everyone can cook and make anything work. I'm writing this before watching this video, the only thing I heard so far is that Iso being good now is up for discussion. It's not, he got the most broken ability this game has ever seen, there is no discussion he's the most broken agent in the game rn.

The last example on Haven makes no sense. We are watching defender rounds, with lack of info being the issue or "gap" in the comp, yet we are blaming it on the Iso? What info does Neon get us then? More to the point, if we have a comp that lacks info gathering util, then we need to change how we play defender rounds. Start getting aggressive, clear out spaces, make contact. There are other ways to get info than relying on crutch abilities that give you wallhacks lol. This is one of the differences between ranked Valo and Pro play. Pros fall into the same line of thinking, the same comps, play the map the same ways over and over. In ranked, you get 3 instalocks and have to figure it out. What we see from that though is creative ways in which to play the game, something you dont see often in pro play. You can make TH comp work, but you cant play it the same way as GX. If the argument is "Iso takes up a slot that could be used for Initiator, because we still need a dive duelist," then yeah, but that applies to all other duelists too. Same old issue of Jett and Raze being meta, with Yoru or Neon being the only options to compete. But thats not an issue of the agent, thats an issue with the game in general, as well as teams lack of drive to find something outside of meta.
