+Bob Sell Yeah, I use Rhythmic Elastic Audio if I have really simple drum patterns and a solid drummer, that just needs minor tweaks. Anything else, Beat Detective usually wins, Thanks!
Hey man, I started building my home studio and recording with Logic Pro X and then that Pro Tools 12, and I thought that I should say THANKS cause your lessons helped a lot and still continue to help as well. Couple suggestions for improvement, go to the very beginning & help musicians who don't know all the technical terminology when it comes to what they want to record and how important it is to get it right at the source and HOW to do that. Then touch on what the different Audio Interfaces bring to the table, like the price X:ratio. Clocking, ad/da converter quality and expandability. You know like what the Focusrite USB interfaces bring compared interfaces like Antelope series or Ensemble TB and if the price difference is worth it. Heck, the Ensemble FW's are selling around $600 now, & would sound great in standalone mode since they don't make drivers past OS X Yosemite. I know u touch on many of these subjects throughout your videos; but you're definitely smart enough to really break it down to how u got all those tracks your using as your material. Anyways, thanks for the knowledge and I hope my post wasn't too confusing 🙂
I'm yet to actually attempt this myself.. Still learning!! But when you mentioned the hi-hat glitching I believe it's because you didn't use the 'trigger pad' buffer in BD. That would take the cuts from being right on the transients.
Great video, just one problem.. I am new to this and have no idea how to sort it out. I separated the clips no problem, but when i conform them, they separate like mad and end up all over the shop. What silly mistake am i making?
Hi just one quick question unrelated to the topic of the video, I saw you used a D112 mic for the floor tom, where did you place it? I normally use it for the kick, I never thought of using it on a floor tom!
this is amazing, one question, my version pro tools does not have seperate option in beat detection, instead it has generate, would you know how to seperate in this mode? actualy just figured it out, seperate tick box is on left hand side of window!
+Bring it I can't because the song isn't published yet, for legal reasons. However, this same session is going to be used as a mixing example eventually, after I publish it, and will be available for download.
