Hey Phil, Nice video! I´m talking from Brazil. We have a Digi003 from Digidesign on owr studio, and we´re also having problems trying to config the ADAT Lightpipe. I have a new Echo AudioFire Pre 8, and we´re expecting to use it as "slave" to the Digi003. We already made the Path´s map on I/O option inside ProTools, but we´re not receiving any signal from the Echo interface. Is there some kinda extra config inside ProTools to recognize the ADAT signal?
You know your stuff! Here's one for you. I'm connecting a Digi 002 console and a digi 002 rack with optical cable. I'm getting signal on the 9-16 channels in ptools but constant clicks and pops are on the channels. How do I sync the two? Master slave? Thanks
I'm always willing to learn, Great video, I am running a apogee ad8000se and alesis masterlink with a big ben clock, and a 002 looking to upgrade to a hd system, but They are very pricey, My question is with startup, I run adat in and out to digi 002 apogee ad8000, clock big ben wordclock out to in of ad8k, I run aes out and in to alesis masterlink, My problem is, it is very difficult to get these things to read clock from big ben. I get it working after jogging through sync source on
hey phil, i have a digi 003 rack and just got an old presonus digimax(8channel preamps). I connected the presonus to the digidesign via lightpipe. The digidesign shows that there is a connection and the software is set up so that it runs off of the presonus but when I pull up a new track to record off of the presonus it still only shows the 8 inputs of the digidesign and not the presonus. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thanks
the ad8k, I have to go to internal, set adk8 to read the digi 002 by the ambus 8+ card, then I have to set clock to adat and quickly sync the ad8k to the big ben, I feel like its only a matter of time, before the sync source button blows out. So the question is, Is there a correct way to turn these on. As of now, its big ben, apogee ad8k, digi 002, then masterlink wants I have the previous clocked! Computer? on or off first
I was wondering could you tell me how to connect my mbox 3 pro, ua la610 mk2 preamp, external master clock and my behringer ada8000 all together so I can use the converters from my behringer when I record. Thank U and God Bless!
I'm having a little trouble in in protools and I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I'm currently running a Scarlett 18i20 with a Presonus d8. I also have a fast track ultra which I've been trying to set up for talk back via spdif to my 18i20 but when I turn all three it doesn't work for some reason. Mix control crashes and my computer loses contact with my 18i20. If someone could please help or explain I would be very grateful. Thank you!!
