So honestly, your quality of work is just incredible. It's a perfect example that it does not matter where you doing something, it's a matter of personality and the will to do it right! Greetings from Germany
@@WillometMotorFab De nada! Truly excellent fabrication. Detail and a lot of patience. You really produce clean quality content and it is appreciated! 😁👍
Excellent fab skills. It’s been awesome watching this project progress from the forbbodiesonly forum to finding it here. Can’t wait to see the final rendition!
I have a million questions about the rear (which I can’t ask all of them here)….when setting it up to be square how do you choose the points to measure off of? And the next most important question is how did you figure out where all of it will bracket to the frame in space? Great video as always👍🏻👍🏻. I really enjoyed the documentary style…huge shout out to Mrs. Willomet 😂😂
She’s got the knack, right? I started by placing the axle where I wanted it based on the tire fitment in the wheel arch. The links are fixed length, and basically just ran forward about 24” from there. That’s why I used a transfer punch, because I didn’t pick the location, the axle and tire fitment did it for me. I just made sure they were relatively flat at ride height. To get it square, I measured off two points on the frame that exactly mirror each other, and are the same reference points we used to set the front suspension years ago. Glad you enjoyed this one. The longer length left room to go into loads of detail.
Excellent video! I'm really impressed with the video and editing quality. Thanks for sharing. And I cringed when you drug your finger across that freshly drilled 1/8" hole in the frame! You must have tough skin... I'm sure I would've bled all over it haha
Some nice tips in this one. I was headed to that same car meet yesterday at Dusold. Unfortunately I found out that it’s not wise to upshift from 3rd to 2nd gear.
Love the quality of your work David - both visually as well as the fab stuff. That new camera is good but the lens may need to be a bit wider for vlogging as your entire head is filling the frame. I'm watching this on a 28" monitor and it's a tiny but unsettling, but I can only imagine what it will look like on a 60" TV 😯 I'm wondering whether you're somewhere between 24-35mm, if so you may want to pick something up which is closer to 18mm to give you a little breathing room around your head. You could probably also benefit from a little more light when shooting as it will help with noise and jitteriness in the frame rate. Don't know what your new camera is and whether it offers IBIS, but that would also help with the way the image bounces around a little. Great work though, these are just pointers for the last couple of percentage points - really enjoy watching your videos! As others have said, the car is looking amazing - so much attention to detail. It's going to be stunning once done!
Thanks for the pointers. I need a longer arm for the face-talking shots with my 17MM lens. Also, I have four different light sources with different temperatures, plus outdoor light, and still I do need more. So many details to account for now.
