The INACHUS project is a European wide research project starting in 2015, that examines measures to improve first response after building collapse in catastrophic events like earthquakes, storms, explosions etc.

Biggest problem here is that all your floor plates are rigid. That would be the next thing to improve!

Hello, i am editing a video for a investigation group on a Colombian University. They need to show a video of their patent. And they talk about the Collapse on building during earthquakes . Would you let me use the first 16sg of your animation with your credits of course???

This is why steel is necessary in every case. Didn’t we learn from earthquakes that rebar and concrete simply shiver apart? Ductile steel is the only way to go. When you are looking for a condo in a high rise, always always ask: Is this a ductile steel structure? The 1980’s and 1990’s constructed high rises properly. All these concrete and rebar high rises are as brittle as fine bone china. Steel gives, concrete does not.
