Awesome video Joshua and Tomo! As a westerner, I felt that some of my friends from Japan weren't listening because they avoid eye contact during conversation. Didn't know about aizuchi until now and how that's a Japanese way of showing they're listening. Joshua and Vlada are very Japanese in that they avoid eye contact during their conversations while Tomo tries to make eye contact during the video a lot more.

Well done you two!!! Loved this informative AND hilarious AF upload. Honestly, there were so many juicy topics that could be teased out…I hope you two have a continuing dialogue on being Inter School graduates. Thanks Joshua xx!

Awww I'm from Chile and I hope they treated you well there! Indeed making many sounds while listening is not common so they would stand out 😅

One thing I notice right away. Likely due to her time in the U.S. and Canada, she uses hand gestures a lot when she's talking.

@@tomotube It's aaaaall right. I lived in Japan a long time when I was younger, and I'm American, so hand gestures are completely normal.
