Proboat UL-19 30" Hydroplane Full Indepth Review 

glad to see that Horizon is finally giving out rc's to normal guys for product review. keep up the good work and don't change you and your channels content represent 90 percent of us in this hobby.

I know this boat came out awhile ago but, still what a Great review . . .very informative for those who are new in rc boats. .. . and your enthusiasm just great and makes people want to buy one. Horizon Hobby needs to see your review because your enthusiasm and the way you attack the boat, the tone in your voice with your descriptions is what a great reviewer should be, not dull and lack of interest. Sure they do provide the information needed as that's what a review needs but, so do you. YOU just do it better. Keep up the good work. .I enjoyed your review and if I didn't already have two of them, I probably would have bought one after seeing and listening to your review. Horizon Hobby and other hobby shops, pay attention and get your guys to be like this guy and your sales will most likely go up... . .well done!

Hydroplanes have always inspired me, i am gonna build my own rc hydroplane douple low the price, since i know the stock electronics of it.

Gets hot on 6s and check temps but absolutely one of Horizons best made boats❤️💪Great review

Don't run it much on 6s unless you reprop. It will cook your electronics and when you call proboat they will tell you 5s recommended. Must prop down. Great video as always.

I love mine 67mph completely stock on 6s but one speed run and she gets so hot the motor will smoke and over heat . I suggest duel cooling and a slightly smaller less aggressive prop I run 4216 and she does close to 60 mph with no over heating

Hydro's are the cream of the crop, jets are one thing but the fact is you can turn a prop faster and faster, you can only push water out a hole so fast, unlimited are the top, I have learned so much watching your videos, two kit boats Drag-n-fly 24s by Dumas, one other hydro that's bigger than the Drag-n-fly also a vacuform outboard tunnel hull that's electric , the first Drag-n-fly i had is pickeled a K/B nitro outboard on it and a spare lower end i am going to fit a brushless motor to it, I love boats, my god father ran a real life flatie called playmate I have watched him and been in to boats all my life, flaties and hydros, you have been in to RC boats a long time and now have inspired me to finish my kits and go electric, you are the shit my friend

That black clamp is a RF choke for noise in the system.

New to the hobby. My first is the ul19. Crashed it hard 3rd trip out. Front seam in the cockpit broke. Would like your input on how to fix it

1 put the Vorocity Big Boy motor/esc in mine.its beast!I sank my 1st UL-19 hitting buoy in middle of pond and ripped haul in half!

I love this boat. When I bought my Veles29 it was a toss up which one to get. This is on my short list for sure

10:49 not cable retainer.. i'm actually shocked the put an RF filter to reduce any motor frequency distortion/ interfearance.. like most computers.. i not even see thst on many HIGH End RACERS.. so far only factory added. impressed. i am avoiding boats & planes.. but.. thinking of this cuz i know design

Another entertaining video. I agree that is a quality boat for a rtr . I like your transmitter collection , it's like a trophy shelf. As a future build video idea , if you can find a damaged u19 hull it is possible to make a wild looking rigger out of it.

Your knowledge of hydroplane technology and terminology has grown considerably in the past few months. I think you will be able to get that UL-19 running at its very best in short order. The UL-19 is by far one of the best RTRs on the market.

BIG B, ordered the fin. Will have it the 6th. I have one question: I am going to run on 4s, iscthe stock prop ok? Will it run a little 🔥? Should I look into another prop on 4s, I know for 6s it's mandatory I have a duel cooling rudder on the way, from BB, no one had any in stock! Greatly appreciate all you have done with videos, and your help with setting up mu v2, and now my UL 19

hey im having a hell of a time with my ul-19 after i got an upgraded hardened shaft from OSE. it seems like im getting way to much vibrations and i figured it was with the motor mount or my alignment.... next time your swapping motors or working on this maybe you can film your process of aligning and making sure everything is smooth... thanks man i enjoy your videos and when i saw you got the ul-19 i felt like theres hope after all.

Hey there that's the same motor and speed controller I put in my Pro blackJack 24 currently trying different things with it now

That's not a cable retainer on the motor wires. 😆 It's called a ferrite bead. It's used to suppress electrical noise so that it doesn't mess with the Receiver.

That cylinder that retains the motor wires has a ferrite core that prevents electrical interference with other components.

that "cable retainer" is a ferrite core, reduces EMI noise (not that i have seen it on rc before)

I suggest this boat to you when I got mine. Was about a year ago.

I have two of these boats UL 19 smoke the motors in about 45 seconds or four laps on standard boat course 6s100c 5200 mah . TOTALLY THE WRONG MOTOR FOR HULL SIZE AND WEIGHT. Way off on prop size , I went to prop size wash for my buddys boats, I put in a pump from receiver, power. I do appreciate Horizon Hobbies covering the motors burned up. BUT THE GUY OR TEAM THAT TESTED AND Approved this combo should be FIRED. The parts given out to cover this mistake are very costly to the company, and drivers up future models .

I CANT FIND A PRICE ANYWHERE FOR THIS ROCKET!!!

Add 15 to 20 knots to this hull by Blue Printing the sponsons and stern. IMPOSSIBLE! There is not enough parasitic drag reduction existing on the exterior surface to achieve that increase. Even 5knots would be a real stretch of truth. Only way to jam an additional 15 to 20 Knots or more from this craft is going to be arrived at Prop, Motor replacement to 8 or 12S and ESC. Plus a pid tune. Otherwise it’s just nice as it is.
