Hello friends! Another little Prismatica Snippet video in which I run through the procedural puddles/wetness/rain/interaction shader system I've been creating over the past few days. I don't go in TOO deep in this video, but if you're familiar with my Landscape Interaction series: • Landscape & Foliage In... and have looked at my Enchanted Forest video • Enchanted Forest in Pr... then you should be able to guess what's going on with a lot of it :)

Haha I'm glad it's having that effect! I think little touches like this can go a long way to make players want to be in the world a little longer :)

I love the runescape feel. This is my dream game. Runescape but less grindy and more immersive.

the overall visual quality aside, I absolutely love your systemic way of doing things. It shows in the night/moody scene. Really impressive stuff. edit: aaand you're talking about just that at the end of the video :-D

I like that glaring bright specular highlight that is present in the pond, maybe add that to the puddles of waters to increase the wetness effect.

Very true! I turned it down kind of low on the puddles because a lot of the time they're quite flat, but I might increase its brightness/contrast when the wind picks up/it's raining!

Thank you! 90% of it is just trial and error and experimentation. I guess it just takes time to be able to think up an idea and break down the steps needed to get there.
