Good information, thanks. I have a question here. Added a key to a 2007 SL550 with the push to start on shifter knob and everything works except the proximity. I tried different proximity keys and nothing. I was told that there might have to be another step but no one know. Do you happen to know what that extra step is to get the key to work with proximity. Thank you. I'm using the autelim608pro and a proximity keyless factory key.

I see you did this one obd. I have w209 with me9.7 and autel wants to do the ecu on bench. Have you done this one? I am replacing this dme because the old one is no communication. Do you have any tips? Or do you know if it can be done? I hear drive authorization is a problem and scn coding. I can’t back up coding because dme is no communication
@@miamiautomobile5566 well I'll buy the im608 in the middle summer. Can't get rid of my im508 because of the built in vci. It's a lot less to carry. Unless they let me upgrade.
I don’t know what the cost of a new ECU but is it better to get a brand new one? I guess it depends on situations. Even a new ECU we still have to renew it?

Only if the ECU is not personalize on any car then you can relearn it in another car, but if the ECU is personalize in any car, it's has to be renew before you can relearn again.

hi, i live in miami and i have a similar problem. When I bought the vehicle, there was no engine ecu and cluster on it. I bought the ignition and electronic control unit of another car from the internet. I installed it but it didn't work. If you virginize the ecu, will the problem be solved? I have a dxtool d7 pro device, can I introduce the new ecu with it?
Yes, I believe 508 has same capabilities *IF* you by the xp400. The xp200 that comes with the 508 only does basic key programming. Aside from screen size, and a few other little bs incidentals, the only thing separating the 508 and 608 is that the 608 comes with xp400. Also don't be fooled by the "new xp400 pro" it is essentially the same as the original XP 400 except that it can't do RFID tags / cards.
This is applicable ONLY if ECU is new or virginized(reset) used donor ECU. If you get used donor you have to clear it first. As far as I'm concerned there's only way to do this on a bench, maybe thre's other otpions but im not aware

Hi, thanks for the video. I have this error on a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300 4MATIC Sedan when The car's TCU was replaced with a used module. Error: the start enable signal was not issued by control unit -' Drive authorization system'. Will teach-in drive authorization and writing the VIN to the tcu solve the problem?
