This is the exact job I'm doing done it for a year at a shop chain called new world in New Zealand started of a bit shit but now fully got the hang of it enjoy it alot the problem is you can run out of stuff to stock so the job can get very boring 👍👌👍👌

@@goodday0013 it all depends on how busy the store is in question and how good a team you have. The produce department I'm over does about 30k a day in sales. You're basically putting out 40 lb boxes of apples, 50 lbs bags of pots and onions all day and you have to rotate everything. If you're on the wet Wall it isnt as labor intensive, but I'd say yes it's much more labor to do produce than stock grocery because cans and chips dont weigh 50 lbs.
Don't worry you're not alone. I just started at produce to and it's a lot of pressure. One of my issues is being too slow compared to the other workers.
My rule is: if you wouldn’t buy it for yourself or for a friend, pull it! Your pace will increase as you practice working different sections. find your team leader’s and assistant manager’s pace, and try to match it. A produce clerk’s job can be very physical demanding, depending on the volume the store does. But I recommend it to any young man struggling for purpose!
There is something we follow call WIBI which means “ would I buy it “ so if you buy this product it means it’s good to go, if don’t buy it then it’s going to the back to be processed.
