@@vashthafellomen816 I thought the same as well. Since I liked Hann so much, I was hoping to her voice shine more in the next title track, so I was disappointed on that end. I felt the same with Shua's voice as well, cause she was totally underused in this song imo.
@@trutharnold6882 to anyone wondering, i heard that shuhua doesn't really have many lines because last comeback, netizens said she sounded like she was speaking gibberish and she requested to not have many lines this comeback so she could improve her pronounciation ( Just copy and Paste it from someone else, cause i don´t wanna write it again and again to so many people ;) )
I honestly feel like Soojin isn’t talked about enough in this song, her vocals were really good after the 1st chorus. I hate how Shuhua got no lines again but this song was really not like a normal kpop song and I love it
personally i think this is soojin’s era.. (which one isn’t tbh) she just oozes charisma and that sultry voice with her killer dance moves YES M’AM. plus she’s extremely gorgeous?? the total package
きみこ I know that she asked for lesser lines but I hope she will pick it up again, it would be weird for netizens to complain about her speaking in Latata by the way since she litteraly only said the word Latata in that song
Soyeon LOVES making music that creeps up and just continually hits you each time. She does a great job of getting Yuqi to set up those amazing choruses that sounds so melodic and unique. Latata, HAnn and now this...very very unique sounding Title Tracks. I'm so proud
Now i am wondering if Soyeon handpicked this group or she is using their talents individually at their finest which is what a LEADER should be, thinking of this SOYEON IS A GENIUS!
@@zuzaj7054 Spanish, specifically, would be from Spain. Latin is basically any country which language was derived from Latin; Italy, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, even France. Most people confuse Latin with Latin America(n) and Latino, but yeah Latin is basically what I said.
this song felt just a bit too short, like there was something missing. i don’t really like how it ended with the ‘yufufu’, it just needed something a little more for such a great song. i still loved it tho, because YUQI
i really like G IDLE' s songs! they're so unique and not so typical. They're are making they're own thing and I hope people will go out of their box to appreciate their songs.
Yuqi and Minnie's unique voice just make Gidle's music different from typical KPOP songs! They have their own color....and Soyeon best female rapper of KPOP industry! Soojin the best dancer, her seductive dancemoves are lengends! Miyeon, the most beautiful main vocal ever, yet powerful vocal! Shuhua thd visual, pure princess
theres 2 mistakes there ... Soojin is not the best dancer and Miyeon is not the best vocalist :D would put Lisa and Rose on their place :D ( dont get offend i love Miyeon and Soojin) but Lisa and Rose are like 10x times better than them
@@GuGasSsS Lmfao pleaaaase Momo has a more diverse range of dancing then Lisa though she is good but Rose is definitely below Miyeon in terms of stability and Power, you just have to check them live to know, plus she doesn't even use her real voice because of YG so she struggles to reach some notes, and it shows.I think Yuju is maybe the best because she has the hardest choreography and the hardest lines.
Just to make u know that dance is not only about the way u move ... Lisa is the best dancer on kpop u cant even relate to that. About Rose i prefer her voice but opinions
The reason why it sounds different it's because they approached with a more classic latin style, more like a mambo vibe instead of reggaeton (thank god)
People that are really verse into how music works seem to appreciate the artistry of this song more compared to of common folk and i think that's great 👏👏
The best thing about this song is that it's not the typical latin inspired song, it's very unique. I think Soyeon has done an amazing job with this album (Minnie with BYM too). 4:11 is my face everytime I listen to (G)I-DLE
well, I think this is more latin inspired than spanish... Brass instruments like this are not really used in spanish music, the only thing that screams Spain to me is the castanets (I don't know if they are used in latin-american countries). Choreography wise, the hand movements could be spanish inspired from flamenco or sevillanas but I think they got inspiration from tango, too. I could be wrong though. I'm from Spain btw.
The only problem I had with this song was that there could have been one last chorus at the end and for shuhua to get some actual lines (but I understand her korean isn't the greatest) as for the male vocals it didn't bother me like it did for some but it did fill like it was the only Latin/spanish thing about this song besides the trumpet
The problem is people automatically associate "Latin song" with a very specific sound... but guess what, there is more styles to latin music than despacito type songs. When I first heard their comeback was called "senorita" I was so worried thinking it would be another generic "latin" sound... I'm so glad they went in this direction, I will never doubt (G)I-DLE and Soyeon again.
I am not a fan of (G)I-DLE, I don't follow what they do, the only names I knew were Soyeon and Yuqi before watching the MV. I am surprised to see people in the comments saying they didn't like the song, I thought the only real problem was it felt a little bit short. Actually really enjoyed the song
As always, a great analysis. I think you really nailed what I had been struggling to put into words about why I found "Señorita" so much more addictive the more I listened to it. Whether Soyeon consciously intended this as she was putting it together (and I like to think that she did - she is THAT good) or whether this reflects Big Sancho's input, as you said the end of the song compels you to re-listen, and it becomes a feedback loop of intrigue. (In some ways I feel like the extra bars at the beginning of the video accentuate that even more as opposed to the cold open of the recorded version). Combined with the ambition you noted in CLC's "No" I really feel like Soyeon is not content AT ALL to go the easy route, and it is to Cube's credit so far that they've been willing to let her have this much room to grow on A-side high-profile tracks. Anyway, great video, and definitely headed over to Patreon right now to help support your insight! (And if, as I suspect, you're in the Bay Area, waving from across town!)
Lot of people were questioning the reason CLc gave up La Vie en Rose. And then Soyeon’s work on No gave CLC 2 first music Show cups in their career. Hand out Soyeon. Cube is having A Diamond.
MINH GIS-RS Definitely think “No” was better for CLC than “La Vie En Rose” would have been. It fits their strong powerful image and I feel will be more memorable. Sad that all the drama delayed CLC’s comeback so much; I dunno if CUBE will re-team Soyeon with CLC for their next comeback (they SHOULD in my opinion, for many reasons) but Soyeon doing (G)I-DLE promotion and Elkie off in China for a month filming a drama means that AT BEST it will probably be the end of summer before CLC will have anything new out.
When hann first came out people did not like it at first. Complaining that it was repetitive and that it was not as powerful enough, because it was different. I love Senorita its very different from Latata and Hann. What you said is true, it felt like the song ended so abruptly that you feel like you want to listen to it again as soon as it ends. Its different and people will always look for something wrong about it. I get not everyone will like it but thats fine. Its music everyone has there own taste.
i was thinking the same about how it ended but i realized it not ending with a final chorus leaves you wanting more, it edges you on and youre so excited for the final explosion but then it doesnt come and youre like HUH and you smash the replay button
I know some people say this song is a grower, but for I think it's just forever gonna be bittersweet because I will always feel like it had so much more potential than the final product. They really should've given shuhua lines and not made the entire last minute of the song just Yuqi going "yu fu fu" it's toooo repetitive for me and makes the song get older quicker since so much of it is the same. But that's just me, I still love the chorus so much though
Jordan Shuhua actually requested less lines for this comeback bc k-netizens criticized her pronunciation/accent last time :/ But ya I agree about the "fu fu fu" 's at the end of the song. I think it makes nice room for a dance break, but I think they could have done more with the choreography for that part. I don't like Señorita as much as Hann or Latata but I still love it!! I don't know, it takes me a few listens to get used to a new kpop song, i'm always like "meh" about it at first lol.
When you are talking about this being the title track and the song being artistic instead of a more generic, digestible sound you are perfectly describing a debate amongst the fandom. A lot of people thing this should have been the title track, a lot think what's your name should've been it instead.
You’re right about it being super catchy and it creeping on you. I didn’t like it at first and now I’ve replayed it for about 24 hours over the last two days and I even dreamt about it!
Respect your reaction. After I watch this MV, I saw most of the comments below it were asking why Shuhua only got the “oh~” line, and some said Yuqi’s voice doesn’t have any surprise. I have to say Yuqi’s voice is the biggest surprise for me and her tone fit this song so well.
Jeon Soyeon did extremely well producing Senorita! Latata, Hann, and now this! I hope Cube continues to let her do her thing creatively I really really do.
You should listen to their songs Soyeon (rapper) writes all their songs except Blow your mind which is written by another member Minnie Check it out and see if this will change your mind about them
I've been anticipating your reaction since the first minute of the comeback and I'm so glad that you liked it because of how polarizing this song is, a lot of people either hate it or love it. I'm also really glad that you finally got into (G)I-DLE as they are my favourite group For me personally, I absolutely love the song and I'd put it above their other title tracks. It might be exactly because it is so slow and unconventional, it might be because Soyeon isn't going in hard on this one and doesn't grab all the attention with how thrilling her raps usually are so you can get an even better impression of the talent of the other girls. It might as well be because a lot of people finally start praising my bias Minnie. It's highly likely that it is also because the song once again sounds different from everything they have released so far. I love their versatility, their uniqueness and their distinct voices and I absolutely love the fact that every single song on their album was produced and written by at least one of their members. I also love how even their b-sides all sound different from eachother and their previous releases. However, I might still prefer $$$ over Senorita but it is a close one, especially because Senorita gets even better with every time I listen to it. And that's already.. A LOT. But my favourite song now is "Give Me Your" from their new album with "Put It Straight" being a close second. Looking forward to your listening party now, hopefull I'll be able to catch it^^
Hope you can have a listening party for I Made as well. ☺ The b-sides are amazing and truly showed their unique vocal colors. I am particularly obsessed with the 4th song (Please/Give Me Your). Minnie was on another level there.
For me this is one of those songs that without specific vocalists this would not work for example Soojin's seductive voice and Yuqi's chilling voice just add more texture to the song imo
Informative review as always. Took me a few listens to really appreciate this song. I've noticed that this is a group/Soyeon that really makes their music and MV's seem basically like they are already setting us up for another huge stage show at the end of year awards. Composition really impressive too! Yuqis part was so good! She stood out more to me this time.
Btw PD, did you notice how all CUBE's artists' videos this year have a repeating theme (more or less): red & blue? Look at Huta, then CLC, now (G)I-DLE and even Ilhoon's short film for Spoiler AND video for a new song "Farewell Again" by CUBE's ballad group A Train to Autumn. I was honestly shook, do you think it's on purpose or just the same director who prefers this aesthetic? If the MVs' for new unit of WooseokXGuanlin & Pentagon will have it to I would be honestly blown.
Amazing song, I honestly love all 6 of them. they are all so talented. Soyeon's voice absolutely kills, It is very unique and tbh pretty addicting. That being said I absolutely love the vocalists too lmao.Yuqi's voice makes my heart hurt.
im glad that idle tried something new everytime. this song definitely did not grow on me as a first time listener, but the second time i listened to it, i fell in love. then the more i listen to it the more i get attached
For the album listening party, remember there is a music video for the last track "Blow Your Mind." It's a fun video that was self shot and directed by the members.
PD, ever since i started watching you, i rlly cant watch any other reaction channel because they never fully understand or get the big picture, which you do so well!
Other Idol members: Girl in the elevator with the dark hair is Soojin shes a rapper/vocalist and dancer , The very pretty girl with the straight hair and resting bitch face is Minnie Lead vocalist (the one holding the cake) , The girl in the bathroom is Miyeon Main vocalist (and the other member that was in KDA) , Also rumour has it that idle has a 6th member she doesent have lines so u cant hear her in the songs but she appears sometimes in the MV's (the girl walking down the street with black hair Shuhua shes the Visual ... aka my bias :D)
I'm definitely looking forward to the listening parties for I AM and I MADE. I'm interested to see what you think of their B-side stuff. I'm fully on board with the direction (G)I-DLE is going.
You should listen to the whole "I made" album. This albums is absolutely stunning. Soyeon composed all of the songs and each song is such a treat to listen to.
Honestly my recommendation to anyone (who have time) is to ALWAYS listen to any group's b-tracks. Most of the time titles are limited to be commercially considered and lots of time it doesn't show the full range of the artists' talent and potentials. Decide whether you like a group or not after listening to the whole album is always easier because there are too many times I didn't like the title but LOVED the entire album from different groups.
the funny thing is, i just addicted to this song now. this song is brilliant, why? it started flat at the beginning and how this song made me excited start from yuqi parts here 1:30 .. right after i'm getting into the beat it turns out cooling down again with Shuhua and Soyeon manipulative voices (Lol) .. then BBAM! i got kicked by the reff... miyeon voices is just perfect for this. it somehow like rollercoaster of climax. Then the ending, started with the bridge Yuqi fufuwufu bringing acapella-ish to ears, then, SURPRISE! the fufuwufu carried by the upbeat, sucha nice deliver tho! Brilliant! and .... thats it! it being cut suddenly leaving us alone in excitement and curiosity, damn it :') And i realized G(I)-dle is something. Their deliver great music, not too mainstream, but unique, and rich of genre their explore. very nice packaging. i think i will stand them ^^)b
You know what? All the grest analyst or just the people with a background to music industry appreciates senorita much better than the common community of kpop and thats something 😉☺ anyways neverlands for me ill support them no matter what.
Yeah, haters just complained/criticized without know anything about music actually. From these senorita era, i realized that all fans who confessed theirself as neverland are basically they are not true neverland anyway. True neverland will be support their idol no matter what. Moreover, gidle produced their album and the song by theirself. It should be apreciate
@@nu5993 yeah even though senorita is not my tea(im more in trap genre like rumor) i still brought their album and support them like voting and streaming. And yeah those who proclaimed that they are neverlands are fakes
Everyone have different taste. In this case, soyeon said she always loves to try different genre/concept of music. Soyeon want to everyone saw her talent. And she proven it with any style music in gidle album
I dont know if its just me but this reminded me of CLC's NO, especially when the chorus comes. Its not a bad thing but thats what popped into my head as soon as the chorus hit. Loved the reaction and can't wait for more!!!
Also everyone was complaining about the song HANN in their album because they thought it was too repetitive but when they finally try a different new concept everyone is suddenly hating it too. Come on people. They are trying so hard. FIGHTING, G(i-dle)!!!!
Silvermist xxx exactly and it’s mostly our own fandom (the kpop community) which sucks if all kpop fandoms weren’t so toxic to other kpop groups coming up there wouldn’t be drama or “competition”
(G)I-DLE - Blow Your Mind MV. It's a special MV for the fans from their reality show 'To Neverland'. It's Minnie's first time writing and producing a song. Also the song is in the new album I_MADE.
Honestly speaking, for the first time i heard it i kinda felt disappointed because I had a really high expectations for their comeback but I gave it a second try and it grew on me and now I can’t stop listening to it. Im kinda sad that some Neverlands were disappointed on the song because they say it’s lacking but i think (G) idle did great. What I think Soyeon was doing here is that they want it to make like feel lacking at the end because you would want to hear more of it... you would want to ask for more of their songs and crave more of their comebacks. So, yeah... im definitely gonna wait for their comeback!!!! And im sure it’s gonna be a bang!!! And really looking forward to more of the girls’ charms showing off to every song released 💖 Proud neverland here ☺️
I'm so so glad you liked it!! I agree with you, I felt the need for another chorus but I absolutely love it from listen x1. I personally think Minnie (the girl in the sky) and Miyeon (the girl doing her makeup in the bathroom) owned this song with her vocals but everyone killed it. I have a feeling you're gonna like the album and honestly you should look out for 'Say No'. It's a ballad but... It's easily one of the strongest songs in the album imo.
Producer wasn't realize 2 things: - The MV theme is kinda Final Destination-estique with all those scene - Shuhua had only 1 line, it's "uwo o wo o ooww uwo o wo o oow wuwo o wo o ooww uwo o wo o ooww uwo o wo o ooww"
It took me a white to get into the song too, my fave part is definitely yuqui's 😍 Please react to Sunmi's Noir id love to know your analysis on the music video!
I think you will love their new ballad, if Hear Me was amazing, this one is on a whole new level... Can't wait for the listening party. I'm glad you liked Senorita, I'm completely addicted to it. Also her rap doesn't sound that hard hitting because its cross-rhythm and theres a autotuned voice it the background, if you watch "Made by Soyeon" that cube released you can hear her rap clearly, its so powerful.
