BTS just dropped a performance in their official channel called BANGTANTV. The video is called BTS ROOM LIVE we would really be happy if you watched it, Its like a medley, they sang little bits of a lot of their iconic B-Sides it was really fun, the live mix is really goood
thank you for recognizing how important having a support track is for them when they have to do choreo as well. what they do is really an extreme sport, it's a lot to balance. if someone is just dancing they can just breathe where they need to, but bts have to balance breathing for singing as well as choreo which is why they often get a few puffs of oxygen back stage to make sure their bodies have all the oxygen they need - - and obviously things can go wrong, like the Chile concert you mentioned. you can't fully know everything your body is up to, you may not realize you aren't up to it until it's too late for example so yeah sometimes people don't realize what a necessary safety net that support track is so they can manage their energy etc so thanks for the acknowledgment lol
That's 100% right Blake, you got it spot on around 6:00 it's mostly live with more or less help from the backing track depending on the specific part of the choreo that they're at. Surprised you picked it up so quickly, most would assume it's all prerecorded as a coping mechanism because they're assmad or do the "it must all be live" bit because they probably don't know any better or want to appease us fans. I think the more people understand the sheer amount of talent and hard work it takes to be able to do anything even remotely close to what these boys manage day in day out, the better. Then there's no poppy delusions and more people can truly appreciate their artistry and how high they've set the bar for all of their peers in the industry.

I know how capable BTS is to sing live but time and time again, its no surprise to notice that sometimes, which is fine, they have sung most of song live while also taking a little help here and there with pre-recordings or backing tracks. They have to perform on stage and make sure they sound super clean. As artists and performers it's ABSOLUTELY FINE to do what they do! They can definitely sing live but just because for some performances like this one, it's not complete live or complete pre-recording. It's a mix of both and that's what makes them such amazing performers and artists.

I’m pretty sure jin skipped his part because there’s an effect on the ‘gotcha’ so he let the backing track sing that. And jimin skipped cause it’s kinda high. Idk but I don’t think it’s to prove they’re singing live😂
I always love your reactions to BTS. You seem so genuine. And I feel like, these days, people are just using bts for clout, but a very few, and ofc, your channel included, really supports and appriciate bts as humans, musicians and artists. I also love how you digest everything, from their vocals, lyrics and artisty.. I appriciate how you "educate" yourself or research about them, behind the scene. Just shows how genuine you are, that you take your time to know more about BTS.
I toooootally understand what you mean about enjoying and appreciating so much more after learning more about them. As a new ARMY, I know there are things I want to go back and watch because they would make a lot more sense knowing their humor.
I'm a newer ARMY too, and there's stuff I definitely want to watch/rewatch. There's so much content that I find myself a little overwhelmed sometimes especially since I can't watch most of it while multitasking.
They have a track on the earpiece. It’s the ear monitor, it helps you to listen better the song/track so you know exactly where to sing, stop and breathe. Something singers do and maybe them too is that you hear parts of the lyrics on the song. The start, and the ending so you know and don’t get lost. For example, the song starts with JK so I’ll be like: “Smooth like (track)...” “ ...undercover...” “make it into your...” “break it down” “ side step right left...” And on and on. But only THEY can hear that. Some fan made a version of that but with Dynamite it was pretty awesome

BTS ALWAYS sings live, depends on how the hard the choreo is to hear the puffing and huffing(reason why I’m sooo sure is because I KNOW full well how the recorded vocals and emotions sounds like) Unlike other artists BTS have been practicing singing and dancing perfectly together without sounding tired which has breath control exercising FOR 10 years!!💜

Tomorrow by Together (TXT). Just dropped a new album that is very solid with some experimental songs for kpop. They performed an all-English song on Good Morning American today.
Hey Blake, I work in the Asian music industry and from what I can tell you about Kpop live performances, especially BTS lives like these, they record live performances in various sets and then the editing team stitches them together. Of course, they use a backing track but it's so quiet that it doesn't even matter. Basically, a video like this requires them to perform live at all these sets (either fully or partially) and then the editing team works their magic. In short, yes, the vocals are live and not pre-recorded. Kpop industry looks down upon lip-syncing, even though its okay. I mean, every artist needs to rest their vocal chords once in a while. But, since there is so much stigma around it in Korea, they might use an MR from time to time, but a group like BTS will NEVER lipsync. It's a matter of pride as well.

for other kpop groups i would definitely recommend both enhypen and tomorrow by together! they are both kpop groups under the same label as bts (hybe labels) and they both have amazing discographies and performances!

Their lead single 0x1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You) is amazing. They also released an English song Magic. Another group from Hybe is ENHYPEN. They are also great!
PLEASE React to TXT. Its a group which are also so talented. There are no official positions for them thats why they're so unique, positions like rapper dancer singer aren't there cuz each one of them are all in one and each one of them hss their own uniquesinging style, rapping style and out of this world dancing capabilities, their ability to write poetry in songs are majestic. They also have great songs which are amazingly produced, they also self produce. They are currently experimenting on different types of genres thats why they don't have a go to type of music. Since like I said all of their titles have different genres of music. They just released a new song called 0X1= LOVESONG which is very amazing since it's changed kpop as it is, its emo rock songsnd also they co produced and wrote ALL of the songs in their new album TXT chaos chapter freeze, a genre which has nevr been thoroughly seen in kpop. Fun fact they're also BTS' juniors so don't get surprised on how talented they are. Can you please break it down for us since they are a very interesting group, they don't follow the normal kpop tradition, they change it.

I can appreciate your dedication to learning more about the boys through their documentary series/movies to get a better sense of who they are not only as artists but as human individuals as well. In terms of other groups, could you check out their labelmates - TXT/Tomorrow x Together, Enhypen, Seventeen, Nu'est, and Gfriend? I think you'll enjoy the variety of music that these groups deliver. They also have a couple solo artists signed under their label (HYBE) in case you wanted to check them out as well - Lee Hyun, Bumzu, Zico.
Regarding the concert documentary films and series, they really wanted to show as much as they possible could but there was still some things they were not being allowed to reveal. With that said, from their debut on AMAs to MMAs taking over the stage on top of winning several awards in a row for four consecutive years; it is fair to say Lol they basically own those award shows 😎

They recreated the billboard set, just like they did at the Grammys. So there were about 4-5 sets for this song. Someone commented that the big, lighted ball at the end might represent and ARMY bomb. Interesting thought. You’ve heard, I’m sure, that they sometimes practice singing while running on a treadmill to make sure their voice are stable when they move. Also, sometimes BTS, especially at concerts, stop singing a line of a song to prove that they’re singing live.
they are having a live online concert this weekend (Sunday, Monday) celebrating their 8th anniversary... its a muster so a mix of fanmeet and concert (muster is BTS name for these events i think other Kpop groups has other names muster is a military term so it suits BTS and ARMYs names :) )

i know they are growing and showing themselves in the last cbs, but please let's see the difference, i mean, they are growing in USA, because don't forget that they are 8 years together... you can see how much they've done reacting their old songs, they are not only dna, fake love, idol, boy with luv, on, black swan, dynamite, on and now butter... they make a lot of music, but it's not something of these times, they always showed how they are, thats why thet are that succesful
