They gave her the least to work with and she's already the most popular. I'd like to see what she can really do in the next comeback hopefully. The song is great i hope they explore this concept more

People have different taste. I agree with Bel-kun. It's a shame that no one talks about SoSo who has the same "problem". But I don't care about line-distribution. To be honest, i hate these discussions, there are obvious reasons why some have fewer lines than others. I mean in general, not in this particular case. She’s the only one that stand out to me too. The rest of them look the same in a way that most idols kpop girl groups look. Super girly super cute etc. So obviously when you see a girl that has short hair and wears pants almost looking like a guy you’re obviously going to look more at her. You should listen to their b sides, particularly shy shy and Melting Point, Miya has few lines. Miya's voice has somewhat similar voice range as Amber.

Miya aka androgynous looking girl sings 3 very short lines. In your video she sings at 1:48, same part on the second chorus and finally she says “I like it” in the rap break. Its unfortunate but she’s japanese. Maybe she’s not confident enough in her korean but she should at least have one decent line. I feel like she’s just there to be like Amber or Ren. To get attention for her androgynous look but it worked. We’re all talking about her.
at the time of debut she'd only been living in korea for four months, so she struggles w korean a lot, but she's a skilled dancer who's been performing since 2012, possibly before that. her dancing was always highlighted during predebut promotions and buskings. she's not just there for looks.

Ciel Oz Its not about her looking like someone else which I assume youre talking about Amber. Its about her looking very androgynous. Having an androgynous member will get people talking, it worked for Amber and Ren so so it will work on Miya as well. Amber is debatably the most popular internationally while Ren was the most popular overall before PD101 s2.
Miya might have gotten very little lines in this song, but she's an incredible dancer! They've done quite a few covers of other songs and she blows me away with how precise she is. I read she was in a Vixx dance cover group which explains everything LOL On top of that she's just plain gorgeous/handsome and all of the above???

Yep. Very slick debut. Anticipating more. They also seemed vocally strong and stable in show appearances. I get the impression that they quickly established a credible mysterious concept.
PD literally went through every international fans struggle through the MV. LOL But I just wanna say, I'm pleasantly shocked how well this song and group is being received. I accidentally clicked on a teaser and instantly fell in love, but when the MV came out, I become just plain obsessed (I literally have to play the song at least once a day to survive), but I thought that it was gonna be one of those hidden gems among the thousands of groups that's debuting, but the video is accumulating quite alot of views and the group's fan base is growing very rapidly. I'm glad that you reviewed this PD and hope to see more quality reviews (also maybe a GWSN album listen lol they have a few side b bops)
everyone talking about miya but throughout the whole video the solos are tossed around four girls -- the redhead girl, the short haired girl, the prechorus girl and the black haired girl who starts the song. 3 members got very insignificant lines, yet all the attention is on miya alone.
Their debut was top notch 💯The mv was shot really well and the song is super catchy and the members are so cute :3 and the vocals and rap is pretty good ♡♡♡
Miya, Soso, and Seokyung are already very popular so they wanted to give the rest of the members more screen time and lines to push their popularity and also Miya and Soso aren’t confident in their Korean
PD is all Miya stans after she didn't get any lines 😭 but I think it's because she's Japanese and her Korean isn't that good yet, same with Soso who is Taiwanese... Hopefully they'll get more lines in the future! But this debut is so amazing, the whole album is incredible! I'm so happy they're doing so well already, I've been waiting for their debut ever since I've seen their teaser pics and just 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I absolutely LOVED the album. One of my fave 2018 releases, one of my fave debuts in a while and also a rare album where I like all of the tracks. And about Miya, I think even though they couldn't do anything about it at the time, giving more screentime and lines to the other girls was crucial in sort of attempting to even out the popularity between the members since Miya automatically grabs attention and even now she's still by far the most popular member, but their debut song gave the other members exposure so it wouldn't just be Miya + the others. I have no doubts Miya and Soso will get more lines once they get more experience and get better at Korean though
the short hair girl is not Korean so she gets only a few ad-libs (along with another member who only has ad-libs i think) but from what ive gathered as info shes EXTREMELY popular (even before debute) so her role for now is to get the group attention, idk why shes popular but shes also a lot older then all the other girls so she might have been a media person even before she joined the group idk

Miya is so pretty and she's an awesome dancer, I also wish she had some line in the song. Like anything so we can hear her voice. Their leader is cute AF. I really have high hopes for this group.
From what I've seen people say Miya, the one you talked about, can't really speak Korean well and that's why she didn't get lines in neither singing nor rapping. Hopefully once she's good enough she'll get them! She has amazing stage presence and charisma (watch their street performances) and visuals too. She's already the most popular one and that's also an advantage for her ^^
Miya really is eye catching, definitely the kind of member that people look back on as "Oh, I guess they were the reason I got interested/became a fan/ started to stan!" ... for me at least. But I'm gay and weak for those handsome girls, so maybe that's just me! I really love the song, and I'm so excited for more from the whole group! I know people don't like it when you compare groups, but it sort of feels like if gfriend did a dreamcatcher style song!

their English name is "girls in the park" they use it on their twitter and their youtube channel but it wasn't in the title of their mv for some reason
You know what else is confusing? The fact that one of their teasers for this song hAVE tHAT dROP and it is nowhere to be found in the MV. Not saying it’s a bad song without the drop though. It’s actually one of my moods for debut songs in 2018! And setting aside the obvious reasons for the foreign liners. It can also be part of their concept story-wise as well.

miya has one line in this song lol (she's amazing btw, really great dancer) i had the same problem like "when is her moment?" even if she said one word it didn't happen and i was wondering how is her voice sound. i loved the mv tho, lighting and colors were too beautiful ♥
