you can really tell they're getting more comfortable in their sound AND their skills. Wilbur's voice is the best i have ever heard it, so bright and confident. Im very proud of them, glad to say ive been here from the start
ash kabous (the bassist for lovejoy) edited the video! he did an amazing job on the music video. everyone who worked on cmwyl did so well and it was so worth the wait!
I thought the editing style felt famillier but I couldent place it, now that you mention it, i'm starting to relize how similar the CMWYL video and Ash's vlogs editing style are.
I saw clips of him playing this live before the official studio release and he seriously nailed it then too, and I'm just happy the studio and live version weren't too different. If this is the sound that they're going into, I am all for it.
i remember wilbur saying before this song came out that the quality has gone up and he definitely wasn’t lying lmao. i love the earlier songs but this is just on another level
I don't know why but i get weirdly emotional when i hear this song, i am feeling things for this song that i haven't felt in a while and I am just so proud of them 😊
when you said you felt like a proud father I could not agree more because it's genuinely crazy to think that we were there for the first two eps and now their song is in the top 40! I feel like Lovejoy will always give that proud feeling to anyone who knows their stuff no matter how big of a fan they are. It's impressive and it's hard to not be proud of Lovejoy seeing how far they've come. I'm so happy to be a listener and I'm glad you enjoy their music 🫶
If they had to now have a definite spund I would love to hear this sound and their new ep is going to be so good. And I really love in the final chorus they hold back the lead melody that's in the 2nd verse of the chorus for the 2nd repeat of the chorus and they have a little almost kinda bell synth or something that you can hear in the back and I love it. There taking their kinda indie pop stuff from pebble brain and putting it into their are you Allright style songs but with even more heavier tones and vocals
Lovejoy is becoming more and more one of my favorite bands of all time, have been playing this nonstop and the killers reference makes so much sense since it's one of my favorite bands too. What I really like about new bands it's how they can just experiment with all different styles and get inspo from EVERYWHERE lovejoy it's getting far by how fast they just get better and better awesome video Blake!!
as a person who stayed up till 12am just to listen to CMWYL for the next 6 on repeat I am very proud of the way lovejoy has came. I love this song, so do my family who have agreed that this song is the best yet to come from them. can't wait for more from them:)
Thank you Mr. Blake for fulfilling your promise and posting this here❤ anyways what a great song and great reaction too!! Lovejoy is a really great band and of course Wilbur.... Like what a voice! And the instruments and the DRUMS everything was soo great...
“I feel like a proud father” me for every single moment i agree with everything you said i cant believe ive been here since the beginning even before that i love cmwyl and i cant wait for the new album thats coming soon
everytime i hear this song or get reminded that aya came out nearly 2 years ago , i get emotional 😭😭 esp with cmwyl , i get overwhelmed with this overly happy and proud feeling -- the fact that they got 32 on the official charts is so fucking insane and im so happy that they got on the radio again n whatnot 😭 n more ppl r finding them and ffffuck man , theyve come so far i dont think i can describe just how fucking proud i am of them in words ngl
I just noticed that when its the part when the screen displays "you can call me what you like, as long as you call me," there is an eye around wilburs head that closes
0:20 "This is like their first music video ever" *It's All Futile! It's All Pointless!, Concrete, Model Buses, Taunt, and One Day:* am I a joke to you?
Feel like I heard some Franz Ferdinand in there, too? Really glad I caught them at the Mercury Lounge a few months back, it's been great to see them grow into themselves
Thank you for your reaction!! Please react to Rosalia Motomami! It has a REALLY interesting production! A bit experimental and super nice music! Impressive!
