YES, we absolutely want the full album reaction! Love your reactions/analysis, and I also think you would love to watch them play some of these songs live
Yeah we definitely want a full album reaction! Just note that you should react to Coraline with the lyrics translation. No video for this song, I guess too emotional, just some good live performances
Also Morirò da re is a beautiful song. To me the best choice is the whole album "Teatro d'ira I" and "Torna a casa" + "Morirò da re" from the album "Il ballo della vita".
In Eurovision only the vocals are live, for technical reasons: it's impossible in three hours to set the instrumental staging for more than 20 artists in order to allow them to perform with live music
Listen to the superb Coraline, Vent’anni, Le Parole Lontane, Torna A Casa...you’ll be genuinely surprised. Their catalogue is so diverse, you cannot label them...rock, metal, funk, grunge, rap, they can literally do anything. For Your Love (at 1Live WDR) and Amandoti (with Manuel Agnelli at Sanremo) have the best instrumental solos heard in a long time. If you’re into some heavy stuff, try In Nome del Padre and Lividi sui Gomiti.
Yes, I’ve been waiting for this one! I highly recommend listening to “torna a casa”. Their slower songs are just unbelievable. So happy you like them❤️
Their album (teatro d’ira vol 1) does not have one bad song! I highly recommend listening to all of it. They also have a new album coming out before the end of the year!
Totally agree with your idea of listening to the whole song all the way through the first time, and not necessarily focusing too much on the lyrics till the next time. For any kind of complex song, and especially one in a foreign language, it is much more satisfying that way. Some of Maneskin’s Italian songs have fantastic lyrics, but they are often quite poetic and require a lot of focus. I’ve seen several reactors get lost , because they were encountering so many new elements all at once. Anyway welcome to the Maneskin rabbit hole. They are amazing, fresh, yet familiar, and create such a good vibe. If you react to their latest album, I believe you will be further impressed. IMHO The song “Coraline” is one of the most impactful songs I have heard in my life. Even without the translated lyrics the song is quite emotional, but it really deserves a second listen with the English translation.
Yes! Please do an album reaction to "Il ballo della vita" and "Teatro d'ira Vol. 1". They're both fantastic. Il ballo della vita is more experimental with different genres while Teatro d'ira is more hard rock. I love your reactions and would be very interested in what you have to say about their different styles. Just be sure to look up their lyrics as they're very poetic. Especially their italian songs like Torna a casa, Coraline and Vent'anni.
They're absolutely amazing. You have to check their other songs and I personally would suggest: Coraline For your love Torna a casa Le parole lontane Moriro da re
2:22 is how you pronounce the title btw ;) And here is a video on how you pronounce the band name and the origin: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GAAo_ege6YI.html
Btw, this song won the Eurovision song contest, which is basically a contest where every European country sends a song to represent them- about 40 songs- and one wins. So this is *certified*. And on that note, Italy have been killing it with the songs they've been sending the last few years. I think you could really enjoy Soldi by Mahmood.
I think it's actually better to not read the lyrics before watching. The performance of this song won them the Eurovision and I'm sure most of Europe had no idea what they were saying! They were just so impressed by Må, their attitude and sound, that they voted for them nonetheless! You've experienced this song the same way most of Europe did! (Minus the great live performance, which I hope you'll be able to check out!) I highly advise reading the lyrics of their Italian songs, as Damiano is truly a poet. Maybe you could even read them in the videos after listening to the song, without a deep analysis, just quickly to understand what the song is about. Check out performances like La Paura del Buio (fear of the dark) live for Radio Italia, Damiano sings beautifully and has the facial expressions and mannerism of an actor. If you're interested in ballads: Torna a casa; Le parole lontane and Coraline (definitely check out the lyrics of this last one, they've made people cry! It's also the only song out of the three that does not and will not have a music video, so there's plenty of lyric videos of it out there) Harder songs: In nome del padre and Lividi sui gomiti (both from their latest album Teatro d'Ira part 1 aka Theater of Wrath) Funky and sexy song: I wanna be your slave Honestly, most of the time they sound even better live, which is incredible 👍 The name's pronounced mOneskin. It's the Danish word for moonlight; bassist and leader Victoria is half Danish. As an Italian who's known them since they were teens and knowing where they come from - first busking in the streets of Rome, then auditioning for the X Factor with an original song in English (so ballsy!!!), and 4 years later winning Sanremo, the oldest music festival in Europe which inspired Eurovision - I am so impressed with them!
I would love to see you do Teatro d'Ira vol. 1- it's just so good! I love watching your joy when you hear certain things in a track. No complaints from me about doing this band in quick succession.
Yeesss do the full album please!! Your analysis are so interesting! And they are so talented, and young, they are 20/22 yo right now and they have always written their music since they were 15.
Its funny that you brought up Remington from Palaye Royale....they and Maneskin talked over Twitter and promised to do an european tour together....i would love that...😍
I watched Eurovision this year... and watching this live was ANOTHER thing. OMG, it was 🔥🔥🔥 Goosebumps all over my body (same with the song from Switzerland but in a very different way)
Yes definitely do the whole album Teatro d'ira vol.1, it's an amazing album! Love your reaction, unfortunately I didn't get a notification of this one and it seems like it happen to others too since this has got so low number of views compared to the Mammamia reaction.
this the reason i always finds reaction of producers to songs. you know and appreciate all the instrumentals etc. others will usually focuses on the lyrics, aesthetic, visual or overall stuff but producers really know in depth.
i didn't understand the contrast thing until i started writing poetry. you have to find something new/fresh enough so that it'd be surprising and original, but also something familiar enough for it to be readable, so you can get your message across. it's similar with music, at least in my experience. it has to be different but still familiar in some way.
Full album would be nice, indeed 🙂 But my suggestions are gonna be two songs, one from the first album and one from the second (and current) one. "Torna a Casa", a ballad, and "Coraline", kind of a ballad too but with a bit of a grunge sound. Grazie! How to pronounce Måneskin?? Uhm... let me try this way: "Må" = "Mo" sounds like "morning" and then add "neskin" as it's written basically.
This band is so good, I happen to hear their version of Beggin and became hooked on this band. But the one I think is their best song is Torna a Casa, you should listen to that one its so good.
I would recommend with torna a casa that you read the lyrics first and then react to the song because the lyrics are really powerfull and it makes the song even better. Good to know is that Marlena is not a person. It’s damiano’s (leadsinger) muse with music!
Hi, I just discovered your maneskin reactions! If you want something different I reccomend their 2017 hit song "Torna a Casa" they released after they did XFactor it really was everywhere on italian radio at the time
Hey, I've watched a fair amount of your videos, generally they're great, I love your feedback. HOWEVER, it bothered me a bit that you didn't even trouble yourself to google Måneskin before to learn how to pronounce their band name or the title of the song. I know you're hardworking, being a good producer and musician basically requires that. So... I'll just ask you to do the work, do the bare minimum yourself and learn the group's name before putting it on YT. These guys literally won Eurovision with this song, there are tons of interviews with them in English where you can hear their name and their song's name. Don't put it on your subscribers to teach you, please. 😞🥲 Foreign artists deal with this constantly from American media when it's so simple because of the internet. Alright, that's all I wanted to say. Thanks for your perspectives always. 👏
I highly recommend Torna a casa, La Paura Del Buio, New Song (Radio Italia live), Ventanni, Coraline, Chosen, I wanna be your slave, Mammamia etc basically everything and just a tip i prefer them singing/playing live
I don't know why people told you to check the lyrics for this song because they are actually the less good thing in this piece 😅. You did good to ignore them 😂, although I must say that other songs (not this one) by them have very good lyrics. Zitti e buoni is just amazing about music and that's it fortunately And yes, do the entire album please
Yess, great reaction, and I love them, you should really do the full album, but I strongly recommend you to listen their live performances because are even better then the original track, and I suggest you to watch the subtitles because Damiano, the lead-singer Is a real poet, especially in Torna a Casa, Coraline e Vent'anni.
I would love the album, I find them so cool but only watched some videos. I watched the Global Citizen performance live that was cool. They cover Billie Eilish which is super interesting because it's obviously a completely different version. They also love Harry Styles and used to do Kiwi.
