Have been using the Mk III for 3 years, it is IMHO without doubt the best stick and base you can get for the money. Shipping in the EU is from NL so just a couple of days. The fact that they downright encourage you to take the base apart and fiddle with it is pretty amazing.
I have winwing f18, and f16 joysticks and throttle and Virpil Alpha joystick and CM3 throttle. I love my Virpil throttle the most out of all of the throttles. But I like my Winwing Joysticks handle a lot. Never used a VKB but Winwing and Virpil have amazing quality. But Win wing for the price has by far the best quality to price.
These are great. I have been starting to save up for my next joystick. I've been into Sims since I was a kid, ran with the Logitech Wingman Warrior and a Thrust Master Top Gun with I was a kid, and have been making do with a Logitech Extreme for a few years. So I definitely deserve something quality and I believe you have convinced me.
Great product assessment, competition is always a good thing as TM kind of dominated for too long, as for me Im WW all the way the Orion2 is just too good.

I just ordered the MCGU for my Mk III GF - mostly to treat myself, if I'm honest. I had debated getting the whole Mk IV Ultimate set instead, but since my GF is not even two years old and works great, I decided to reduce the load on my wallet a bit.. :) That said: I am upgrading from the MCGP and I view the Ultimate more as a "very nice to have", optional purchase. The Pro has almost exactly the same functionality and it already feels quite sturdy and very well put together. Plus some reviewers have criticized the Pro for its supposedly "loud" or "click-y" buttons, which I can't confirm based on my example. All buttons are near silent and feel very nice and positive when you press them. So if you're undecided, you might want to make things easier on yourself by not getting the Ultimate and opting for the Pro instead. I'd rather invest the money you save that way in a desk-mount (must have for this kind of stick, IMO) and in an extension. IMO, an extension is a much more important and effective upgrade. I initially used just the grip on VKB's UCM-S mount and decided to give the 100mm extension a try and, man, did that change the stick's feel (for the better). Since I only do fixed wing aircraft, I don't think I would have a use for the 200mm extension, plus it wouldn't fit with either my existing UCM mount or the space I have available at my desk. The 100mm one is very much usable with the shorter VKB mount, especially if you set that S-mount "one hole longer" than the maximum length VKB suggest. In any case: It probably will take some getting used to with any sort of extension installed, but that transition was well worth it, IMO. The stick feels even more precise now and less like a gaming device but more like a "real" flightstick... if that makes any sense.. :)
loving this but i must be blind i cant find video 3? i wanted to see what you thought of the mount for it, which you said you would talk about in video 3...
Great base but for desktops kosmosima grip would be better. Its pitty they abandoned gladiator pro line. MCG grip is just too tall for desktop. Its simpit gtip.
So how does it compare against a Virpil CM3 base which has easy access to the spring pre-tensioners and dampers from the top and a 200mm goose neck extension?
VKB also has a gooseneck extension you can buy. You can open up the base from the top or bottom depending on what you want to do. I recommend checking out the VKB playlist in this video description for a full explanation of the assembly / dismantle process.

Do you know if the stick can be run togheter with another brands rudder pedals? I bought the stick but im having big trouble configuring the stick for star citizen though i might have to use a 3rd party app maybe to make the rudder and stick play togheter in the game settings..
May I ask that do you guys who are using the device have the same problem I am experiencing now? I put the grip on a table. My forearm sometimes touches the edge of the metal baseplate or the metal grip base, I got a feeling of a light electricity shock or static electricity discharge. I think the electric grounding of the device is not done well. I also brought the STECS throttle. The throttle baseplate is made of metal and has the same static electricity problem.
If you're experiencing it from both platforms that leads me to believe you have a grounding issue outside of the devices. You might look if any if your other electronics are experiencing static discharge or shocks.
@@WyvernFalken Oh my other device doesnt have this problem. Weird. Becuase Im pluggin in the device onto my computer USB. How can I check where the grounding issue is coming from?
i want to upgrade my setup and i was thinking of getting the Thrustmaster MFD and i want to get a display for it and i found a few but i am interested to know wether the CUBESIM MFD display is a good choice or not
@@WyvernFalken do you know any non Chinese ones that aren't insanely expensive every time i look the only thing i see people talk about is now they ordered a 30$ screen from aliexpress and somehow mounted and programmed it to work on the display
