Fantastic soap. One of the thirstiest soaps out there. You keep adding water, it just keeps lathering! I'm looking forward to trying the Aloe Vera version.
Used the Cella organic shaving cream for the first time because the ingredients are suitable for me, plus I've read somewhere the green line is vegan and cruelty free. The shave was amazing, lovely scent and a great lather. Zero irritation, perfect. Thanks for this nice presentation...🙏🌲.
I was in Italy in 2017 for my high school senior trip. I wasn’t into wet shaving yet, and wish I was now. I think I saw Cella and Proraso soap each selling for around $2. Wish I had loaded up over there!
Nice!👍 Cella never fails for performance and scent. Very affordable is a plus. The new scent and formula should be stellar. Thanks Matt. Maybe after I get out of hospital I will be able to get the new green variety and shave. Enjoy!
I too smell maraschino cherries. It's a great soap and I enjoy the aftershave splash as well. The green line is new to me and I'm looking forward to trying it.
Hi Matt- Nice preview of Cella products; thank you! The almond-scented tallow soap is always a pleasure to use. I hope you are having a great week and all the best!
Received my Cella this morning! I have a Big jock brush on it's way and I will have to shave again on Saturday. So new brush and Cella will be used. Shaved yesterday with my new Envoy razor.....Wow! It shaves really close and its smooth. 😁😁. Dave.
Not sure why but Cella is the only soap I've ever had that "went bad". It quickly started to grow this musty barn smell and the off white/yellowish color turned brown. Shortly after it started to smell like it was rotting and I threw it away. I always let it dry with the lid off and did nothing different with it then any other soap I've used. I got curious and poked around a certain forum that will not be named and found a slew of people reporting the same problem.
I like both Cella and Proraso. I wish I had started wet shaving before I went to Italy. It would have been cool to buy some over there. Maybe next time.
I have never been to Italy, but it is one of my future vacation destinations. I am very interested in checking out the Cella line of products very soon. Thanks for the informative video.
Мне очень нравится аромат и пена которую дает классическая Cella. Хотелось бы ещё попробовать и её новую зеленую линейку. Интересно в ней твердое мыло появится? I really like the aroma and foam that classic Cella gives. I would also like to try her new green line. It will be interesting in her solid soap?
I like Cella. On your recommendation, Matt, I got the after shave balm. I used it for the first time today. I have a replacement Cella Shave Soap arriving in the mail today. It will be up tomorrow. Thanks for the info.
Cella could have worked on your Friday morning “history” lessons 😊👍!! I’ve been to Italy, I’ve seen “Father Christmas “ more than once in Italy & I agree that their New aloe products are really good in the heavy heat of summer. As always, well done & thanks. Zac
Cella was the first shave soap I bought when I first got into wet shaving about three months ago. This soap provides an excellent cushion and is extremely slick. When I finish my jar I am definitely going to by the brick. Some wet shavers actually keep the brick in the refrigerator to keep it temperature controlled. I recently purchased the Cella Shave Balm to compliment the soap. Matt as always another great video, I hope you found the cap to the AS lotion. 😉
My children bought me some very expensive Boellis Panama 1924 soap. It’s amazing. I’m told Cella is very similar and almost as good. I look forward to trying Cella. As expensive as the Boellis is... the Cella is that economical.
Wow those 1kg blocks are cheap! I love the classic art on the box. Sound like a lot of issues with the soaps going bad so not sure a single person would ever get through a 1kg block.
And Felice means "happy" in english. Good brand but I don't understand why in the "bio" line we have a so bad ingredient " Butylphenyl Methylpropional"
Love Cella products. I'm looking forward to trying the new bio line. I've been looking for the aloe Vera shaving cream in a tub but can't find it anywhere. It's on their website but not available at any vendor.
You know the stange thing? It is easier to find Cella soap in the UK and US, than in Italy! I asked a friend to bring some over to Thailand for me, and he couldn't find any whilst in Italy for 8 weeks.
@Naths Shaving they are very few and far between. There is one shop which has Bic chrome platinum, Wilkinson Sword/Gillette ftom China, and Gillette super thin(Vietnam) blades. That is it.
Mine..was bought in europe, and the colour is yellow-ish, while the smell is like old soap for hand-washing laundry...odd but does the job...after using it I wash my face with a different soap to change the tally smell that cella leaves on my face

Hi Matt, Thanks for this video and all the info you give. I have a question for you. I just recently graduated from my radiation treatment for cancer in my cheek. My face is and will have some side effects from it like redness, hair loss and what feels like thin skin. Being that I’m new to wet shaving, can you help on a super sensitive pre and post shave oil/balm? I have really enjoyed watching your videos on my journey to regain my health and my post surgery/radiation gift to myself was the enjoyment of my shave with new safety razor and straight razor. I am loving the difference between the 5 blade cartridge and the razors. Any info will help and be appreciated. Thanks again for the education.
Hi In this case you need to go with the organic one I think (the green cella) just in case the red could cause any irritation. The pre shave oil is not effective from my own experience don't wast ur money. The post shave balm I would suggest Nivea for sensitive skin. Wish you a good health
Love Cella. I once did a reddit post about how to have luxury shaves of $25 a year and the 1,000g brick was at the center of it. Honestly kinda shocked at how well it works. It is right there in rotation with soaps that cost several times more. www.reddit.com/r/wicked_edge/comments/bha5m3/read_a_post_asking_about_starting_out_with_100/
Anybody try the green aftershave splash? I’ve been using proraso green but want to try something new. I don’t want to strong a scent that lingers for a long time.
I bought one last month. Cut the kg into 9 slabs; individually vacuumed sealed each and put in the fridge. On the one in use for a couple of weeks, not much is off of it. I pinch off a couple nickel size pieces and press and stick into the bottom of lather bowl across from each other; works great. A couple pinches=about 4 shaves or so.
I had the same thought Jill... Felice/Santa is a grandma I guess! Anyway Cella is one of my fave almond soaps. Looks like the new aloe cream only comes in tube form.
Indeed, he hardly needs defending from gentle ribbing from the likes of us. Just to be on the safe side, perhaps I'll place another order. Let's see... I think there's a new scent that was just released...
