“the figure it out gene”. Great way to put it. Interesting point on the “treadmill traffic” too. I’ve had the same opinion for years although I haven’t put it that way. But have been trying my hand at it recently based some people doing so well with it.
Love the first tip, I'm going to give that a try for a few weeks. I've felt like Ive been struggling to get things done lately and you probably nailed it.
Great tips, Brian! Thanks for sharing them! I would agree with the no-calls policy, except for customer discovery/development interviews, which are a must for staying on the right path. But I'm pretty sure you were referring to team meetings here.

Thanks for the video, I personally found that meetings that have more than 3 participants don't really add to my overall understanding of a specific problem at work.
Totally agree with the 'hire experts' part, but how do you suggest making it work from an expenses perspective? Or did you mean to look at this once your business is more stable and has predictable revenue?
Often times you can find experts with great English from less developed countries. Their expenses are also lower so it's still great money for them. Also you can often hire on a per project basis so you never pay more than you get. Not sure what your service or niche is, but this is something I have seen work before
Hiring experts for one-off projects works well - a logo for example. But if you want to keep them around to evolve your product, hiring experts you could meet face to face is best as it reduces many communication barriers. I'm working with local web devs and we hammered out major UX and security flaws by our in person meetings at the local kava bar.

Great video. I agree with everything exept one thing. Hiring experts and creating systems are not muturally exclusive. I'm yet to see a large company involving development, manufacturing, sales, fulfilment, logistics, customer support and management of thousands of employees without incorporating systems. I guess it can work for a while for smaller and simpler bussineses, but if you want to grow your company and have a good exit, imo systems are essential.
I agree. Creating systems should not be something you spend time on when starting a bussines, but on the other hand it is very important later on. Thanks for the reply.
