As I have three monitors forming an “arch”, the LG DualUp monitor in the middle (which isn’t that wide) is about an arms length away from my eyes, our else the landscape 32” monitor on the left would be too close and the desk would feel to cramped. It is perfectly readable, even with macOS resolution/space setting set for everything to be as small as possible. I have very good eyesight.

disappointing from LG - I thought they'd be better with computer monitor (TVs you can kinda understand saying no as they've no idea how responsible or not you are as a customer)

If you use Citrix to Remote Desktop can you make it full screen on one half of the monitor??

@@eplugplay8409 I also have to use citrix so I'm wondering. May pick up the dual up. I realize that I need more screen realestate right in front of me because I'm starting to have backissues from straining my neck.

This monitor is on sale for $200 off right now. Its a really nice monitor, but for your use case, I would go with the 4K LG Ultrafine.

They are similar in panel technology and specs. The biggest difference one can notice between the two is the package that they arrive in. One has a fixed stand, and the other is with an Ergo arm. One has better speakers, and at the same time, both have different operating systems.

M8 is also brighter (389 nits measured)

It depends what you’re using it for and which type of ecosystem you’re in. LG has great apple integration whereas Samsung is android focused. Outside of that I personally prefer LG’s smart tv setup, but that Samsung is a great panel regardless.

That’s because the M2 Air only supports 1 monitor output (I have an Air too, I feel you). Only the Pros support 2.

@@ThisIsE just a whimsical comment on what I see around me in SW FL, USA, from this old CAD-guy (since '82, before "the net"). Lots of folks getting obese, either from watching those cheap big TVs, or super-duper computer games on super monitors. And clueless on fixing/building/growing things. Folks seem becoming insidiously-conditioned to...WATCH, rather than actually DO. I just self-built my 7th ECOhome here, mortgage-free and super-efficient. After self-building a cool catamaran for myself. Most kids/adults haven't a clue as to doing any of that, but so-many sure know what the latest specs of their tech gear. Sooo...how are YOU set for being free of the "mortgage-monster"? :-) Slippery-slope, kids, when monthly subscriptions & lay-away/credit card payments, etc... make it near-impossible to EVER be free from owing somebody nearly-ALL of your $$$. Think about it...having a cool paid-off ECOhome, or more bigger/cooler tech "stuff"?? Understand now? Most will not, sadly! (haaa...at my 72+, maybe I'm expressing what T. Hanks in that movie "a man called Otto" also felt??). Hey, just being...whimsical :-) Banks LOVE credit card purchases, ohhhh yeahhhh....

@@ThisIsE When I meant asking for specs , I meant doing monitor tests with colorimeters (exact gamut) , calibrators (how actually color accurate) , measuring exact brightness and contrast ratio . Or at least compare with the other screens to test picture quality and QC issues . Your showcase video is just reading specs straight from the webpage but without actually testing it . It's like every non-gamer-targeted hardware review ever which is just elaborated ads . Meanwhile , inferior gaming products actually get tested regularly with proper tools like calibrators . I wish there are reviewers who review productivity hardware and ACTUALLY testing them before validating specs .
