HAPPY SATURDAY, FRIENDS!! A little correction - I referred to the Clay Play palette as Volume 2 but it's actually called "Clay Play Must Have" and is something that comes in a QVC kit. There is also a Volume 2 out there, but it's a different palette and doesn't have the plummy colors. I've linked to the appropriate palette in the description! :) ALSO- Tyler & I will have a little Q&A in our next vlog, so if you have any questions for either of us, please leave them under this comment!!
emilynoel83 -- I've seen the proposal video, but how did you and Tyler meet? And you two are seriously #marriagegoals. What are the top priorities you have in your marriage?
I never watch Vlogs except yours. I love that yours are real life and not the "Instagram" side of life. I don't have a question. I wish you and your fam the best. You deserve more recognition. - health and happiness to you and yours! ✌🏼
@@feliciamarietorre3562 agreed! I find myself drawn to watching tutorials on RU-vid for learning, but Emily has it all. More than just makeup, a life lesson found in each video.
No questions here, just a thankful note. But I will say this, the snippets of family life you share with us are wonderful. My grandparents had an arranged marriage (I'm half Siberian Yupik-a subdivision tribe if you will of Eskimo or Alaskan Native) when they were in their late teens, they were married up until my grandfather passed away this spring at the age of 94 & had 14 children-including 3 children that were adopted from siblings. I can see you & Tyler having that kind of marriage, long-lasting & full of blissful joy throughout hard times & easy times. The strength of character in both of you is evident. Thank you for being you, thank you for sharing with the your subscribers & essentially the whole world, snippets of yours & the impact on me myself personally as I can't speak to anyone else is great. Thank you & have a great day today!
Emily....... you're amazing! As a black woman there are very few white women that I look at because we don't have the same skin tone but I have to look at you and Stephanie Nicole to get an honest review on the quality of a product plain and simple I trust you.
Hi Emily! I just read your comment under my video and I was about the same thing! Your words were making me tear up as well. I just adore you and am happy to be a support for you any time you need me. I too am proud to call you a friend. ❤️️ I was at Sephora yesterday and totally forgot to buy that Farsali primer! I've been wanting to try it and am glad to hear you like it. I guess I'll be going back for it today! I'm sorry that the Kaja glitters aren't working for you! Maybe I need to take a closer look at my face when I wear them, I haven't noticed any glitter movement but living in Vegas maybe I am just used to glitter everywhere?? lol Thank you again for doing this collab with me! xoxo
I am so enjoying that primer!! I am getting so many little tips from your video! It's making me want to pull out my Charlotte Tilbury foundation again! You know what I think I'm doing with the kaja? I think it's sticking to my primer initially, but then if I start layering colors, some of it obviously doesn't stick and then flakes away. Because it never actually disappears from my lids- I think it's just the excess getting on my cheeks. So I'm going to pace myself in the future! :D
Am so glad you two did a collab together! Both wonderfully strong, intelligent, creative, compassionate, sympathetic, caring thoughtful women who are absolutely stunning & inspiring!!! Love watching both of your videos & thank you for sharing! I've heard you speak on the Maybelline tattoo studio eyeshadows, have you thought of using one of those or something like that as a base for the glittery stuff? I know only what you've shared, so I can't attest to that, but perhaps give it a go? Thanks again & may you both (everyone too) have a great day today!
Can you do an updated video of your favorite foundations, like as a whole? A light coverage favorite, a medium coverage favorite, a buildable favorite, a full coverage favorite, a stick favorite and a cushion favorite, etc.
I just love the gracious way you describe other women, it truly is inspiring and encourages me to be a nicer person! I think im gonna film today, this put me in a good mood ❤️
I always enjoy your videos Emily. Today I will be wearing the Needs palette to the first round of the football playoffs. My grandson is a sophomore (turned 16 this week), and is the quarterback for our varsity team!! Very exciting. Also my oldest grandson is 21, so the Needs palette will be attending his birthday celebration. Love you, my friend..MaryEllen
Hi Emily! I wore “The Wants” palette the other day, following one of your Friday tutorials, the Berry Basics. My 9 year old daughter commented, “Wow Mommy, you look like a news lady!” She couldn’t have given me a better compliment. 😁
Awe Emily! You are so sweet! This is why we love you! I am a subscriber to Risa does make up before I learned about you from Kathleen Lights! What's cool is I found Risa through her video about hooded eyes for the first time! That is super cool! I typed in the search engine looks for hooded eyes and there she was! I'm super happy and excited to see you two collabing together! Beautiful!
GOOD SATURDAY MORNING EVERYONE!!! It’s a cold, raw, stormy, Fall morning here in New England & I couldn’t be more content & happy than I am at this moment watching this with all of you! 💚💜 Love from Connecticut xo
Julie Spencer I just visited Maine 3 weeks ago. I actually traveled alone and its the second time ive been there. Stayed in old orchard beach and I can cry thinking about the most amazing trip i had!!!!! I hope to live in maine some day!!!
Cold and wet in Northern MN also. We’ve already had snow twice and so much rain. I’m actually looking forward to the colder weather as we at least see the sun! Enjoying my mocha and Emily right along with you.
I love so much that you not only collabed with a channel that has a much smaller subscriber count, but also that you THANKED HER, and gave a really genuine recommendation to your viewers to subscribe to her channel. You are a CLASS ACT!
I got the watermelon moisturizer because I really enjoy the mask. It’s actually really nice when my skin is extra oily. It helps me rebalance my skin back to regular oily. When I get little dry patches from blemishes, I mix it with an oil. It feels nice and cooling. I really do believe it helps with discoloration in conjunction with the masque. The masque on it’s own works nicely.
Emily, I know what I haven't changed my mind about--your "The Needs" palette. It is great, I love the colours, all of them! The contour ( and I'm fair), the blush and highlight work beautifully. The eyeshadow are perfect for me. I love, love, love it!
Emily, I totally teared up hearing you speak about Risa. It's so heartwarming to hear women speak well about each other and encouraging to hear evidence that your (my) positive feelings about a RU-vidr are actually true. I'm so glad you two collaborated and I really enjoyed the content of the videos. My husband is taking me on a shopping trip for my birthday soon and I have a few things on my list now! xoxo
What would my Saturday be like without you, Emily? I so love my Saturday mornings with a big cup of coffee and some awesome geeking out on makeup with Emily time. Thank you for that! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
I love this idea for a video! It inspired me to try 2 recently purchased products that I used once and said nope don’t like! Tried them again and I really liked them. Oh and one more thing...I’m so glad you collaborated with Risa...I went and watched her hooded eye video and absolutely loved her channel! She gives the best advice and tips for mature eyes and skin. Thank you so much for recommending her channel!
Emily, CONGRATS I just realized you have reached 1 million subscribers!! This has me and My best friend reminiscing a bit...made me think of how long you have been doing this and how long we have been watching you (since before we even used foundation at all)! you are the only OG youtuber who has managed to keep me and my best friend as loyal subscribers and viewers who STILL enjoy your content 💖 you deserve all the success coming your way!
Your skin looks so bright and glowing here! I know I said no one rocks a berry lip like you but I am loving the pink lipstick here! You have such a positive light Emily! Love your videos!
Emily, I have been going through Kelly's old videos of painting you. She is amazing. Had a video idea for you. I would love to see a chit chat get ready with us (You, Kelly, and your mom.) I just think it would be so fun to see how differently everyone does their makeup and hear whatever you end up talking about during the process.
Your eye makeup looks gorgeous! I agree with you about mascara. I generally like it best when it's almost ready to be replaced. It just seems to coat a lot quicker and thicker, and I need all the help that I can get! Loved this collab and video idea! 💕💕
Congratulations Emily on a million subscribers I am so happy for you you one of my absolute favorite all-time RU-vidrs I first started watching you way back when you introduced BB cream and CC cream that was some years ago and I absolutely love you I think you are so real you're so honest you're beautiful and I have to say your eyebrows darling are looking absolutely fabulous keep up always the wonderful job you're doing love you Lots
I really appreciate what you said about the watermelon moisturizer, whether you would've bought it if it wasn't in that packaging, etc. I was considering buying a set just because of the aesthetics but sometimes you just need to hear that you don't need it because it's cute lol! Love the idea of this video!
THIS is why I watch your videos. Not just theory but actual time, testing and well thouught out critiques. Your words are thoughtful, not negative - and pertain to your practice of the products. I had shied away from Drunk Elephant, but will get a try me size ,ad see if it will perform for me. Thank you. emily!
I was super skeptical about Drunk Elephant....but holy moly the products have changed my skin!!!! I'm so impressed that now I want skincare products for Christmas! I've been so let down by most skin care lines, it's been so nice to find something that doesn't break me out and irritate my (former) sensitive, oily, flaky skin. I will go so far as to say my skin has gone from having to blot 2-3 times a day to 1 or none and from 1 "good" skin week a month to now a whole month with no break outs. I am in love!
Hey girl! I was just wondering what products you tried so far from drunk elephant! I’m interested in trying some of their stuff for my oily acne-prone skin too😄
Great idea Emily. I've often wondered if beauty influencers change their minds about products they review - which is what happens with the rest of us - but because they are always moving on to the next "unboxing" we might not know. So glad to see that you are retesting products and reflecting on your experience.
Imagine how excited I was when I saw that you were doing a collab with Risa Does Makeup!! I ADORE her, and actually started watching her before I found you, so I've had to do some major binge watching to get even close to caught up with your videos. I love you both, for your wonderful, kind personalities, and up to the minute makeup guru information. Risa does those great tutorials for hooded eyes, that taught me why a winged liner never worked on me before! You are so much fun, and I love your tutorials and the way you mix colours that I would have never thought to have combined, and it looks so beautiful. You compliment each other beautifully, and I'm so glad that you are now friends
The Thrive Causemetics mascara is my holy grail mascara! I got a sample in an Ipsy bag and once it ran out, I ordered a full one! It’s great for oily skin gals too - the first truly no-transfer mascara that I’ve found!
I had the same glittery fallout i w/Kaja eyeshadow trio too I found you need a very sticky or wet base. So I tried it w/glitter glue, the NYX mixing medium, & NYX matte white cream eyeshadow (the one in the glass bowl, NOT the stick). All of these worked well. I tried using a setting spray & it wasn’t quite enough to prevent no fallout. I hope this helps 😊💚💜
I have very oily skin and I went through a bottle of the Watermelon Glow. It was perfect for a day moisturizer but I total agree that it's not a lot of moisture, I need something more at night. And thank you for helping me dodge a bullet on the Kaja eyeshadow, I had it in my Sephora cart and pulled it out before my first order, and now it won't be going back next weekend.
Would love to see this as a continued video! Once a month or every couple months, because you're right, we never really see an updated "opinion" on products over time :) thanks Emily!
I'm really glad you did this video. I felt this way about the NYX Worth the Hype mascara. I hated it at first. It did nothing. The more I use it, the more I like it. Now it's my go to mascara for quick use. Also, I teared up a bit when you were talking about Risa. I wish I had a friend like you in my life!
The glow recipe watermelon pink juice moisturizer was an impulse buy for me and honestly I love it! As an oily/combo skin gal, my heart is with gel moisturizers for the day time so yeah worth checking out if prefer a gel texture. Granted at night, I’m all for creams and facial oils lolol.
When your'e at work...but have to see Emily's new video. 👀 Gotta work 7a to 7p today....so the struggle is real. 😂 The video and you're smiling face brighten up my day already. 😊 Hope you and the family have a wonderful weekend. Love you dear lady. ❤
You look amazing in green! Your eyes are simply gorgeous. This is a fun video. I absolutely have products I go back and forth on too. Sometimes things just need a do-over!
I love your personality as much as I love your videos. I have been following you for soooooo many years (when you had just few thousand subs, before youtube became a thing and to watch someone with a million subs collaborating with someone who has less than 100K subs is so rare! I am so glad I stuck for the past years. You haven't changed at all. One of the very very VERY few honest youtubers.
Ive changed my mind about high end products like CHANEL, Dior, Armani, Lancôme, YSL. I used to think it was all overpriced makeup but after trying quite a few of these products I’m sold. The colour tones and texture, staying power and versatility are the best. They just can’t be matched by other brands. I’ve spent a lot of money on lower end products in my search to find the perfect foundation, eyeshadow, lipstick, highlighter etc. Well no more wasting money I’ve thrown it all out and kept only higher end and I love it all! 😍
Livloveshermakeup uses that watermelon moisturizer as more of an essence instead and she loves it! I like the sleep mask from the same line, but I’ll need a super heavy one now that we are heading into cooler weather. Love you, Emily! 💕
Have to disagree about Clay play volume 1. It is amazing (now discontinued). It has all the basics - matte black, brow highlighting shade and all the browns you could need as transition shades and contouring! It also has cool and warm tones :) great video as always!
I went over to qvc for the Tarte eyeshadow kit you mentioned because that’s right up my alley & of course I picked out a couple of other items too! I just couldn’t help myself lol💚💜.
I changed my mind about the 'buckfoot' wand in the PF Healthy Foundation and others like it. I was mixing foundations at the time, and so getting it from the wand to my hand to mix was cumbersome. Now, I finally found a good shade match and I love the wand! Great video, Emily! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Hi Emily. Enjoyed your collab with Risa 😊. I used to use Bobbi Brown products exclusively but since I started watching RU-vid videos, I started trying lots of other products. Mandy Davis recently did a video of all BB products which inspired me to do a full face of BB, and it reminded me of why I used to love them. It's the best for everyday go-to-the-office looks. So in the spirit of your "products I've changed my mind about", I just wanted to say I've started using my BB products more regularly again. Have a blessed weekend.
Great video, Emily! I definitely changed my mind about Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. I jumped on the bandwagon to try it and thought I loved it like the majority of people do. I realized after using it awhile and really looking at my under eyes it looked horrible on my dry mature eyes. I use some drugstore concealers that work much much better for me! Have a great weekend everyone! 🎃
I hope this becomes a trend among other beauty RU-vidrs because it is so helpful! I feel like so many times y’all do reviews and move on and don’t get or make the time to update us if your mind has changed. Would love to see this as a regular quarterly, bi-annually, or at least once a year feature.
When you called it the clay play Vol 2 I was like wait I have that one and it looks nothing like that LOL! I'm glad you clarified that in the description area of your video I love your makeup in this video that color green is to die for on you and something about the way you did your eyes is just gorgeous
I totally changed my mind regarding shimmering bronzers. I was watching Julie Dawn Olson and she had mentioned that when she went to IMAT (i think..... it was a make up convention anyway...not sure exactly which one) she was watching a presentation of a make up artist doing a models make up and applying a shimmer bronzer instead of the basic matte or satin finish bronzer. While he was doing the models make-up he was also explaining the rationale and concept behind using a shimmer bronzer as apposed to the standard satin\matte finish bronzer. It has to do with lighting and how the light bounces off the face and makes the contour or shading look very natural and totally complimented the models face at the same time. She said that what he was saying made a lot of sense. She also said it looked absolutey stunning on the model while looking like natural bone structure shadowing. so I tried it and have been using a shimmer bronzer ever since. I couldn't agree more with that MUA! You know how there are a number of 3 pan face palettes on the market but they consist of a really light highlighter then a deeper, possible blushy shade and then there always seems to be that shimmery bronzer shade that everyone assumed it is a highlight for people with a darker skin tone or could be used as an eye shadow for lighter tones. Well, I'm beginning to think that it was designed as a basic face palette consisting of a blush, highlight and bronzer\contour shade.for skin tones and we've just been missing out!. So,since i heard her tell that story I've been using the darker shimmer shades in my 3 piece highlighting palettes as a bronzer instead of my standard matte bronzer applications and have to say that I've been really enjoying the outcome. So I'm grateful I've found a reason to use that 3rd shade instead of wasting it! That's what I've changed my mind about using a bronzer with a shimmer instead of a matte
I’ve followed Risa for a couple years now and it doesn’t surprise me at all that you two connected. Genuine people tend to find their own...know what I mean? Coffee in hand...let’s do dis! Cheers!
Artsy Cupcake you’ll love her! :) she’s a makeup artist (I believe 20 years?) and has a lot of great tutorials. Has that same...old school, RU-vid feel that Em has. They’re different yet the core is the same, if that makes sense.
I loved the smell of everything in the TF peaches and cream line (your review was the first video of yours I watched then subbed immediately!) but when I tried the foundation it would rub off weirdly in patches. Over time it stopped doing that and I have no idea why but now I love it.
Misty Telling I looooove the stick foundation, I do like the regular conceal and define as well but I can’t find a shade that has a good undertone for me, they run pretty pink
Jean Lane amen to that! I went to Ulta to exchange mine for the shade up (I’m pale as paper) and it was basically salmon toned on me 😭 I think I’m going to purchase a yellow foundation mixer to help me out, it’s a really beautiful foundation!
Victoria S I need a pinkish color, pinkish to maybe a neutral. I am light skin and it is so hard for me to find a foundation that is perfect for me and cruelty free. They are usually always too yellow for me. I mostly do a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream. They are a little bit more forgiving in my opinion. I reckon I'll be checking out a Revolution foundation. Preferably a stick or cream foundation. I'm glad I read your comment. Thank you 💞💞
Drunk Elephant products are great. I was skeptical as well and gradually, I have been adding more and more from their line. I truly notice a difference when I use it - and when I stop using it for a few days, my skin is noticeably less hydrated and glowy. I have never found that with any other skincare line.
What a Great Idea!!👌 I love this!! You're absolutely right Emily, our minds change so much and I'm glad you're sharing with us the products that you have changed YOUR mind on😃☺ Have a blessed weekend😘😘
I think I have had a ch aged mind mostly of items for seasonal reasons! I love the stick foundations but in the Texas heat the melt around my face and look so cakey! But during the winter months looks amazing!
What you said about would you even have tried the watermelon moisturizer if it didn't have the packaging is a video idea I've been wanting to see! I saw someone hold up depotted shadows and blushes and I realized so much of why I buy products is because of the packaging.
New Subbie from Risa 💕💕💕. I need to show these two vids to my hubby, he can't understand how I change my mind on a product I originally thought was bomb! 😂😂 Thank you xxx
Wil you please do a video on your Sephora VIB/ VIB Rouge sale recommendations? Even if you don’t have time to do a video, would you please do an IG story with your recommendations/ favorites?
I totally agree about the Thrive mascara. It definitely needs some time to warm up, but after a few uses I get amazing length! I just wish it wasn’t so time consuming to remove. Those tubes are everywhere!!! 😱
