It would have been nice to also hear the Sennheiser mic through the Comica wireless set and vice versa. The Sennheiser mic wasn't low passed nearly as much as the Comica one, and sounded much clearer as a result. I'm unsure if it was indeed the mic or the circuitry in the TX and/or the RX units, as low passing is a cheap way of reducing white noise. Boosting the highs to recover clarity will make all that noise a lot more apparent, and reverse any EQ-based noise reduction measures.
Hi! Thanks for the video) I actually like Sennheiser sound more because of its high frequencies boost. But I guess I can achieve that in post. Waiting for a range test. Please make it in a crowd environment like a real world scenario. I like Comika is RF and not wifi system like Deity or Rode. Hope it will be stable with out dropouts.
This is a channel 38 device. You need to hold a licence to use it in the UK. Getting caught without one can result not only in a fine but also confiscation of your equipment, possibly including the camera. BobUK.
Robert is right. As per the start of the vid, do check licensing for your country and make sure you get the correct version. This review item is actually a none UK version. Fine for review but you would need a CH38 version & a PMSE licence to use this legally in the UK. This is pretty standard for any lav mics except the 2.4GHz variants.
Another nice video. Why not put your Sen Lav mic up against a cheap copy? I got some Pro Lavalier Lapel Microphone JK MIC-J 044 as a back up and was very very surprised with the performance I did have a issue with the but would be interested if you find the same thing. The are only very very cheap on Amazon.
Quick question here, I know you didn't want to talk about licences however...... In the UK my PMSE licence takes me from 606.500Mhz to 613.500Mhz. The device however covers a broader spectrum from 606 to 647.875Mhz. If I want to use the scan function for the cleanest channel, then what is the maximum channel number I can use before I go out of scope of my licence? Cheers. Great video by the way.
Fantastic video!!! I have camera Canon EOS800D, by my mycrophone Comica WM300 Just record on the left side. I want to record a single voice with a single microphone. How should I do it?
