The Comica CVM-WM300 is a wireless microphone pack you can use for your voice when recording videos for RU-vid. This works on a DSLR or Video camera as long as you have a microphone input on your camera. I was sent this pack to review from Comica (unpaid review) at their request and I think it will fill a very particular need for the channel when I have more than just one person in front of the camera. The Comica CVM-WM300 allows you to sync two wireless transmitters to one receiver to avoid post filming sync issues. Overall, I would recommend this unit thanks to it's quality wireless components. The only thing I will be doing is using my Rode Mics with it for added audio quality.

This is fantastic. It's time for me to start saving for some of these. Audio sounds great and seems nice and easy to get rolling. Thanks so much, this was super useful!

You're welcome mate. Once you go wireless you'll never go back to a shotgun mic. :-)

This is something I am going to use on my channel when I have Ric or Ryan over for videos. This is an unpaid review of their product that I get to keep for future videos I produce. It's going to make life easier moving forward so I figured I would give it a shot :-) I have a lot of RU-vidrs that follow the channel and figured this would be something that might interest some folks. But it here: 🇺🇸USA Links (B&H Photo) bhpho.to/2FzUO0x Affiliate Link

My only downside to it is in really loud conditions it can cut the audio. Other than that it's been working fine for a year now. :-)

it is amazing! I'm looking for a microphone like this, Mono/stereo switchable output modes with two transmitters I never saw before.The most important thing is that it's cheaper than other products, and I can't wait to give it a try, thank you ,intheblues,your video is so great!

It's great! Thanks for your showing! I think Comica is better for me. Although the price is cheaper than others, the quality is great.

Wonderful video and great details thank you! One main detail you skipped over is battery life... how many hours are you getting with a single charge? You did say, "a whole lot of life" but... in hours how long do these units last in minutes/hours? Thank you.

Hi there, I recently purchased a CCVM-WM300 and I'm having trouble with the group B transmitter. The transmitter seem to work, when I say something to the mic the audio bar shows that it's receiving sound. But for some reason the sound isn't transmitted to my camera. My group A transmitter seem to work OK. But I don't know why the other one isn't working. I have to film an interview on Tuesday so I'm hoping to figure it out before then.. thank you in advance!

Thank you for the video sir. When I plug them in my Canon M50 they look like working, no voice at all. I tried to put sound recording on the camera on auto and on manual but no voice. Any advice?

That really didn't sound too terrible. How's the handheld sound though? That's what i'm really needing for things like NAMM

Did someone say down below this system has a mono/stereo output switch? cause I was gonna say with the included mic it sounded loud but very mono-y. Otherwise when you put the higher tier rhodes mic on the unit .. it does substantially inprove the sound quality-clairity. Otherwise looks like a great solution. :)

After some time has passed what has happened with these Comica mics? Are they still good, with clean sound? Any problems or system failures?

The Comica mic is a bit woolier and has more bass than the Rode mic. It can also be said that the Comica mic sounds up close and personal whereas the Rode did make you sound like you are at the far end of the room.... Hope this helps on your mic choices... Maybe leave the windsock off the Comica if you don't need to use it so you get a little more top end response ...

I need a solution where I have a bodypack with earset and a handheld for fielding questions, the problem is often the venue only has one open mic. Is it true that's all I need to make both mics work? Do you know how this compares to the Saramonic UWMIC9 which is $399

If you use both mics into your LUMIX, does it record separately into L & R channels or do you get a single mix of both mics?
@intheblues
@intheblues 6 лет назад
Hi Gary, Yep, this will allow you to record two separate channels into the Panasonic. I believe it has both a stereo and mono-downmix option. (one or two channels)
@garycasey7986
@garycasey7986 6 лет назад
intheblues so you could use the second channel to mic up an amp, neat!
@intheblues
@intheblues 6 лет назад
Yeah you could but I doubt it would be as good as using a SM57 or similar. :-) The preamps on the camera won't handle that sort of volume I am tipping. :-)

$479 for this version. Sounds slightly high, but with some sale pricing, would be well worth it. 🎵🎸

We bought a set, got problems with the input bus of the receiver (bad contact). The connection cable (XLR - minijack) is way to fragile/low quality and breaks down to easy. Comica is not willing to take care of the problem. Meaning no after sale sevice! Advice not to buy the comica set.

Out of interest does the transmitter carry a RCM / A Tick mark? If not this device is illegal to posses and operate in Australia. See the ACMA website. A lot of wireless gear from overseas falls into this boat. I'd imagine a Rode unit would.
@intheblues
@intheblues 6 лет назад
It’s legit. I checked the frequency guide for uhf devices in Australia. They also list the frequencies on the box. It operates in the 520-578MHZ range which is right in and well within the new legal standard for all wireless mics and devices in Australia. 😊👍 I made sure about that before I did the demo. It’s also fine for folks in the USA. The tone king and I had a look at that today actually. You’ll find companies are phasing out units that range from 694-820MHz.
@vk3fbab
@vk3fbab 6 лет назад
intheblues it's good the band is in sync. But as well as this all transmitters must meet technical standards and be certified as such. Without this ACMA can legally seize equipment and issue other forms or compliance. RCM with the A Tick is how consumers tell their devices meet compliance. For instance my senheiser in ears have an A Tick RCM on them. I come across a whole bunch of non compliance with people using 2 way radios that aren't compliant with the applicable technical standards for their band of operation. The regulation serves to protect against interference to other spectrum users especially telcos, broadcasters and emergency services.

@intheblues 6 лет назад
I totally get that I was into CB radio's as a kid. (before the internet). From the technical specs I saw its operating in the correct UHF frequency for this type of device. I will check the instruction manual (which I never read) and see what the deal is with the RCM stuff. Cheers.
