Hey curious what brush and handle are you using? I like that it pushes and pulls. Ours only do one or the other and we use the same method. Your work looks great!
Hi buddy thanks for the video and good work. Most of the people doesn't know when you sealcoating temperature is super high and it's not n easy job. Just a question what kind of handle is that I see you using your brush pull and push it makes the life lot easier. If you can let me know I realy appreciate it. Thank you.
We use a seal coat buggy we cut the sides by hand then use the buggy workout the middle for first coat then spray second coat looks amazing when finished I mainly crack fill with a tow behind crack fill machine
Which product did you use for the parking lot and where did you buy it ? , the black watery stuff . I’m looking to do a weekend job on small 10 car parking lot
I have a question, I started at work and sometimes I have to do a sealer but I almost always get a rash on my body, which they recommend I use for itching. Thank you
Fucking eh right! Finally, a seal coat video where guys are pulling the edges like normal people. It was fun to watch you guys go back and forth and finish pulling sealer old school style like I used to do with a squeegee back in the day. I try to get the young guys on my crew to do that because it’s so much quicker but they’re too impatient and get frustrated easily and then I have chew ass and send them back to a rookie edge so they don’t jam me up. We’re using brooms now obviously. I have to tell you it was fun watching you guys haul ass! That’s the way my right hand man and I roll too!🤘🏼Having said that I would have sprayed it after running edges. Too busy to pull those by hand.
Fantastic video, but I'd love it even more if it wasn't at such a high speed. I lowered the playback speed quite a bit, but then it got distorted. 😔 Looking forward to more!
I’ve got a question for you, when using the brush head was that to make sure the small cracks got filled without having to repeatedly having to go over it again
It definitely helps to get into the pores and into the small cracks and then we did a second coat spray to get the best coverage and to take away the brush lines
this is a "in genreal" question. when someone decides to repave a parking lot, is it better to tear up the existing asphalt/concrete or just pave over it? is there (I'm sure there are) differences & if so what.
It’s better to tear it up and start over that way you can make sure the base is good. But it’s cheaper to do a overlay. But I dont recommend overlays because it will just mirror the problems of the old asphalt onto the new asphalt.
Outstanding. Thanks for using the squeegee. Spray does not hold a candle to your application. Yours will last far longer than spray. I have done both processes. I usually don’t use the term “sucks” but spraying seal coating “SUCKS.”
I guess the main suppliers, brewer coat and seal master are just plain idiots because they actually recommend spraying sealer FYI. Also I have worked for both major supplier as well as own and run a large sealing business. People who don’t spray are usually small business who can’t afford the spray equipment and what goes along. Talk to any major companies. I guess we will hand brush our next 1,000,000 square yard project 😹😹 brushing is for residential driveways bud. Thank you have a good day! BAM!
It gets hot and doing big parking lots is a bitch some days even just using the wand. Dragging that hose is annoying after a bit if you don't have someone to hold it.
The striping paint that is used on parking lots today is water based, and doesn't last as long as the petroleum based paint used decades ago, same for roadway stripes eventhough a reflective powder is used that too wears away with the weather. Nice job on the reseal though.......
What would make you think he “gives his services away” or make you feel like that was a necessary comment. I mean, that’s really such a dumb thing to say. By the look of all the equipment and trucks, don’t you think that’s a good indication that he runs/operates a successful business? That alone would be a GREAT indicator he doesn’t work for free. Good Lord man!
Yes. You remove the spray tip and it makes it easy to wand out sealer as needed. Then when ready to spray to u just screw the tip back in and get going. Eazy peezy
@@speeder9554 what??? Brushing is 100X better than shit spray. It fades evenly if you know what you are doing. Obviously you dont know what you are doing. "Sealcoating is life" channel would teach you a thing or 2.
They are waking in it yea. However, if you paid attention they are covering the tracks they make. This is common practice in the trade when hand applying. Any pro would know this!
You don't want it to thick or it will set up faster than what you can manage working with it. My boss uses a lower percentage water mix on our sealcoat and it's hell working with it when the sun is out
@@TyKubinski if you don’t seal all the cracks then it’s a waste of cash because the same amount of water will just go underneath the pavement and wash the sub base away in the cracks that are unsealed. All water needs to runoff the pavement or into a drain for longevity. Also water base asphalt sealers are garbage
At a certain point it's almost impossible to get every single crack on a parking lot. You just have to do what you can and meet the amount of product applied specified in the work order. It's not gonna be perfect unless you tear out and redo the whole lot
He has no idea what he is talking about. Everyone has different application methods but there is nothing wrong with the way these guys are doing things
That’s the right way to do it! There were footprints when they were pushing sealer but then they went and finished it like awesome seal studs. It’s in the video. That why they call it finish brooming. 😂 I want to see spraying in next video. Nice work
You don't walk through the sealer, you use special brooms or squeegies and work from farthest to closest, from outside to inside, these are not professionals,
@@TyKubinski no it isn't, a professional job doesn't spra edges.....Ever, you don't walk through sealer, and all edges are brushed or squeegee, and centers are sprayed, been in the business 35 years, if your guys do edges first, then spray, from farthest to closest, the jobs nicer, and faster.......
This is retarded, they're literally pouring hot liquid bitumen into the cracks, *sealing* them up, it prevents water ingress and by preventing water ingress you prevent future cracks, potholes, sinkholes and other problems. Now blasting the entire parking lot with it is cosmetic, but they VERY obviously sealed the cracks first.
The sealer ,if done right , protects and bonds to the asphalt. It seals it and is far cheaper than new asphalt. You’ll figure that out when you have to pay for an overlay.
