I bought the Profisbiency Sniper reel about 2 months ago, i’ve caught about a dozen bass & sheepshead (2-3lbs), I was blown away at how hard the reel struggled to reel in the fish and was disappointed in the pull power. The retrieval is also not smooth, if you try to reel in fast it feels like it’s almost grinding gears so you only have one speed of retrieval basically. I know some people are comparing this to the Zebco Bullet, i’ve used both and would personally use the Zebco Bullet over this disaster any day, don’t waste your time or money!
Yeah crank power is awful, I have to crank the drag all the way up to make it useful. The casting is awesome however...the bullet is better. I think Zebco could take the Sniper concept and make something very compelling. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your insight!
@@bassman3212 I had no problem. I don't have a lot of information because that is the one and only bass I caught. I was really trying for panfish and the bass bit.
I bought two snipers... recently,...went out once, and one reel actually broke something inside, on the third cast I made, I felt some give as I pressed and released the button,..and it grinded hard on retrieval,....the other one was flawless. Haven't had a chance to look inside yet, but seriously disappointed, especially at the price point.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing the feedback. I’ll include this input in the final review. Mine is still trucking along, it casts great but the crank power is disappointing and the back cover pops off too easily. It works though…so far.
