@@oldskoolrolla Cool I’d advise putting a washer same inner dia as the axles and an Outter dia close size to the 17mm hex this will help take some pressure from the axle as there’s a small gap between the hub and the 17mm hex . So Eg: if you spin out and bumped the rear wheel into a curb there’s a chance it could bend the axle slightly , if you pad out the gap with washers/shims that is less likely to happen . And the motor can run 17 tooth pinion on road and get around 50mph on 3s mine topped 49moh on 3s with 17tooth pinion and cheap Youmme Lipo .
The brushed ESC can be Lipo compatible I think you’ll need to move them little pegs around on the ESC , This was the Quantum plus . So it is brushless and Lipo ready. Also I changed the pinion gear to a 17 tooth Made it a 50mph truck . On 3s

Hello, that is a good question to which I am not sure I personally do not think so, However I have a link to the Manual if you haven’t got it ? You could try to ring HPI , I’ve generally found them quite helpful in the past. But here is the link to the manual. Yes it is sold as being brushless , I’d recommend thicker oil in centre differential , and about a 17t pinion gesr seems to bring into where you’d expect it to be . As it has plenty of torque but Low RPm motor , so higher tooth pinion gear gives it some legs .
@@sheldonrose461 Very Strange, I have no Answer other than get into contact with Hpiracing.com tell them the problems your having with your esc. Just clarify it is the 100amp ESC and it’s the Quantum PLUS . ? Reason I’m asking is that the Smaller Maverick MSC BL30WP ESC only goes up to Level 4 on the punch setting .
Argh I did think of that but I recorded this on my mobile briefly . It is available on Maverick website . I shall download it my self and remake the video and include the chart for All to see .
