I finished the Firebox redesign and am Printing a test part right now. I need to my lights figured out. Adds a lot of drama in the cab when we add the engineer and flickering flame of the Firebox. Sunday I must start milling more Chassis for some new kits folks are asking about. D
Another thought. How much material is in the front of the puff and chuff smoke box. If there is any space below the smoke channel, could you add a space for a light to back into with a little hole in the side for the wires? Again just rambling thoughts.
There is a gap between the smoke Housing and the bullet nose of the engine. In my experience having the lights on a harness does work BUT it gets messy and gets problematic during service. I alway have to leave a long service loop and put them on connectors so they can be unplugged for maintenance. I like the lights fixed to the engine and have used fiver optics to route the light where we need it. But like the green running lights in front, fiver optic can be installed just fine but its hard to get a green tint from a clear fiber, so you end up with green lights and white lights and then is gets messy. We will find a way. D
