Speed run body 1st we think, the truck body balloons way too much!

@@ClairesRCs Yes. Start of with a low center of gravity Slash 4x4. If its a high CG slash just get it low to the ground with the rear end slightly higher. You can shorten the shocks with fuel tubing inside the shock to limit extension. Thicker fluid inside and put stiffer springs or crank the original springs down. ALSO if you keep that truck body cut the rear end out to allow air to escape otherwise you wont be able to keep the front end down. I dont use weight but a little may help you with that body. Also use belted tires like Hoons or GRP's. Shoe goo and drywall tape to stiffen the body so it keeps its shape at high speed. My low CG slash does 132mph currently. My original high CG slash did 93mph but I was using a weak 45c battery and a weak 3670 sized motor. You should be able to get yours to 100mph with that BLX system.

@@KaizerTest 132mph that’s impressive. I like the idea of doing 100 with minimal mods so I can swap the body and wheels and take it bashing. I think I’m being a bit optimistic. But I will definitely take your advice thank you 👍

@@mrclairesrcs3290 Ahhh sweet. Basically of you want to run the GT style bodies from DeltaPlastik the best way is to use the Slash Rally front bumper . Alternatively you can run something higher and use the stock body mount flipped over on the front. Or you can just get the proline scalpel body like people say and shoe goo it inside with drywall tape. To be honest I have a Felony, Infraction and limitless and the Slash is my favorite speed run car because it's light and with mod1 gearing, battery side trays and a decent body 100mph is easy. Actually even without the battery trays 100mph is easy. Even then the new WLtoys buggy can do 100 with a decent brushless system with say 6900 or 7700kv motor and the right battery. At any rate its fun trying no matter what speed you get. Take care Claire.

Its too thin. The best Slash speed run body is the DeltaPlastik Jaguar Gt body. 2mm thick. But it can only go on a low center of gravity slash. Scalpel for high cg.

A friend at work had a 8s slash, he was running mgm custom esc, think he got that up to 65mph lcg chassis wasn't about then, he had issues with centre drive shaft, and he had the custom built, good luck with the mission 👍

No that body balloons too much and is really top heavy, will get a speed body I think

I'm sure could add a bolt on/off wheel bar frame. I'm well into drag bikes and the frame they use with 2 wheels almost on the ground behind keeps the front down

Take a look at some drag bike pictures the frames that comes off back would be super cheap and easy
