What in the hell!? Why did he put a record on the platter before he had balanced the tone arm, set the anti-skating and connected the power, and then insanely lower the tonearm ONTO the surface of the stationary record, and then (OMG!) tilt the whole turntable causing the stylus, which is still in contact with the record, to skate right across the grooves, causing damage to the stylus and the record! Why? Why? Why?
You could spend much more on a Pro Ject but they only have two types of main platter bearing assembly that is used on all their tables, and two types of tonearm bearings used on all their tables .
