Project Cars 2 - Wheel Rotation for NON 900 Degree Users Tutorial (deadzone problem solved?) 

After a lot of testing, I found that following the instructions in game exactly produce the best result. What I do now: I use Formula Force GT at 900. First bit, turn it so the number says 100. Second bit, turn it 90 degrees from center so now the number says 900. Save. When in game, the car wheel actually don't use the whole 900 rotation, diff cars have diff rotation lock and I find that if I do this, it's always 1:1 no matter what car I am driving. If I don't do this and do the below, I would need to cal it going from a road car to kart (at 200). However, what I used to do, just like you, I was confused that it's actually 900 and I only drive my trucks 900. So I tricked it to make it 270, for the first bit, I turn so it says 30. Second bit, I turn so it says 270. I know this math makes no sense but in game, I will then get 270. I can't for the life of me figure out why this is but it is. For example, if you want to trick it to use 360, for the first bit, make it say 40, second bit, make it say 360, and you get in game 360. I play Dirt 3 at 200 and thought I was doing quite well, but trust me, give the first method a try and you will see you got way more dynamic range to work with. For example, even though I cal it for 900, the F40 LM does 450 in game. Which drives way better than the 270 trick. I know exactly what you mean. This only tells me I am a bad driver and I need that extra range for tiny corrections but give it a try anyway bro, see what's up.

I have been pulling my hair out trying to get my gt dd pro wheel rotation at an actual lock to lock of about 240-300 degrees. This did it for me! Thanks!!!

WOW......thanks for the video, i have no idea what you are talkimg about but IT WORKS!!! steering range 100 and lock 1260. finally with my settings have best FFB ever, and i have doing sim back to GPL 1997. Using logitec g29, ps4 pro project cars 2

what about the brakes? i find that my car doesn't brake as fast when u push the paddle in fully, it just goed straight and of course....

I like 180 degrees of rotation but pc2 doesn’t like it, it says raw is what the driver would actually feel if you were in the car maybe that my problem I been using raw, maybe I need to try another setting, I like a super tight wheel on a racing setup I can’t do the 900 degree thing plus I use a fanatec F1 wheel not a round wheel, hopefully I can get my fanatec working properly right now the steering feels a little squishy and the response feels laggy

Can Someone please explain to a beginner of Project Cars 2, can someone please explain the keyboard and laptop setup for the controller setup, its been 6 days and i can't get the best settings....ya ya ...please, I love the game. but al;l setup tutorials are on Wheel Controller and PSI setups. Is there a propper Project Cars 2 gaming controls for Keyboard... ??

I've tried just about every setting, became slightly frustrated with the deadzone. Read time and time again this was related to geared steering wheels, which made no sense at all for me. Then i thought about "fooling" the wheel through callibration, but didn't know how. Looked it up and your video showed up. Tried out your trick and it's a completely different steering wheel now! Deadzone is gone and the wheel can now be finetuned :-D Thank you for making this video! (you should use something like "Deadzone problem solved" in your video title)

If you set your rotation to your preference in the wheel software and then calibrate it in game, it will give you whatever you have the rotation set to in the software anyway, without having to do all the calculations.

I have the Logitech G29 it works very good with GT Sport i really like the FFB of GTS. But what i hate about Project Cars 2 is the FFB. One other thing Do not put the FFB (Gain) to 100 that setting is for high end wheels and Logitech/Thrustmaster are not high end wheels so keep that in mind if you want your Logitech/Thrustmaster to last longer don't go above that number 50 is good for those types of wheels.

I've only recently picked this game up on Xbox one. I'm using a DriveHub Converter which lets me use some of my old wheels that I've collected over the years. I used my Logitech DFGT and it felt really good, but then tried my G25 which gave me a slightly better pedal feel. I initially set my steering to 'Raw' and it will be good to test some of your findings.

My steering wheel have only 90° to each side, and the car steering wheel rotates something like 270° to each side... there´s some way to limit the steering wheel of the car?

why granturismo works out of the box and you need to fine tune some strange named parameters to make it acceptable for pc2? Wheel controls in this game are shit by default.

hey bud, its much simpler to set the wheel range to what your desired rotation by turning the wheel only until the angle you would like to be the full turning angle at the wheel and then at the steering wheel lock step go to the 90 just like the picture. So basically at the first step turn the wheel to the desired amount, tip - I turn turned the wheel until the animation example, and on the second step tun the wheel to 90, again just like the animation. this will calibrate to the desired range. its works well.

Why am I watching this awhile I don’t play this game

So you're telling the game a 90 degree turn of your wheel is just say 30-40 degrees in reality. So a turn of your wheel has a bigger effect in game. Ie: Just a 30-40 degree turn is acted upon as if 90 degrees.

Asseto Costa vs project cars 2 my opinion if u play asseto corsa on pc it's better there's mods

Just reconfirming that due to being slightly ill, both when making & editing the video. In my explanation for the 540deg example, I mistakingly set it to 12060 aprox, instead of what it should have been 1,260.
